Ida had long ago lost track of how many years had passed, she didn't think to count them since they'd be endless. Though she didn't count the years, she did keep track of time enough to know what year it was at least. She figured that would be beneficial. She kept a diary in a small wooden box in her room, where she wrote down anything she found interesting. Today though, today she was sure she wouldn't write anything.
They lived in a humble little apartment in Knockturn Alley. They being Ida and the couple who turned her, who she called Mama and Papa. Being a small family of vampires their windows were boarded up. Typically they got up in the early evening, with their day being night for the mortals around them. Ida was allowed out most of the time, as long as the sun was down. There was no real danger for her. She valued highly ways of the past, so most common misbehaviours were unladylike and so Ida wouldn't dare. Usually.
Though she was more than a century old, Ida was still a child. She was content for now to be a young lady, a little girl. It made her happy. She also liked England quite a bit, though Knockturn alley left much to be desired. She rarely left it alone though, especially not as far as the Muggle streets, though sometimes the bright eyed girl did venture into Diagon Alley.
February meant Ida had more time outside, more time to try and find some friends, so this evening she was loitering around near the entrance to Knockturn Alley. She wore a mauve coloured dress that went to just below her knees and cream stockings on her pale legs. Her boots were black along with the ribbons in her red hair and the coat she wore. In her arms she held an old porcelain, well cared for, doll as she looked for a playmate.

Vito has been living in these streets for all his life. He'd met all kinds of people and non-people. Most around here were his customers. They preferred buying from one of them rather than the rich upper class who looked down upon them. And some had no choice because the fancy shops no longer dared to sell wands to creatures and beings. A pity but good for him. Vito would never judge someone who'd buy from him. If anything people fascinated him and these people were his neighbors. He tried to keep them a friend. Because after all he was but a mere human taking care of a child and a teenager without a spouse to back him up. Dio was at school right now but little Miria was around. The child worried him. Vito wished her mother would have dropped his so-called daughter at his doorstep earlier. Dio wasn't the best nephew either. "No Miria, don't pull the wings off that poor fly," he sighed as the little redhaired girl had caught another insect. Not that he was one to judge. He'd butchered animals, humans and creatures for parts. However she did it out of joy, he did it out of duty. It was his passion to keep creating new kinds of wands. And for that he went far.
He was watching his own little girl when he saw another little girl on her own. "Ah Miss. Thompson, out without your parents?" The Thompsons lived a few apartments away from his own. They were vampires and so was their child. although Vito doubted that she was their own child. He never openly told them that he knew but he always assumed they knew that he knew. It wasn't important really. There were worse people in Knockturn. "Miria, would you like to play with Ida? Look at the beautiful doll she has. Please be gentle." Miria was a six year old and those weren't the most careful. The little red head finally let the fly go and approached the vampire girl. "Ida! Ida what's her name? Come let's play mommy and daddy. Do you want to be the mommy or the daddy?"

Ida knew most of her neighbours. This was Knockturn alley after all, you didn't have to be a vampire to be nocturnal here. It did help that most, if not everyone, who lived here didn't automatically hate them for what they were. It was a safe bet that was part of the reason the Thompson's had chosen here of all places in England. Here they would be safe. Here Ida would be safe, no matter what happened Knockturn Alley would just be a safe place for them, and it was. Even Umbridge becoming Minister for Magic hadn't affected them much. Yet. Or at least, not that Ida knew. Her attention was grasped when she heard a familiar voice. Her neighbour, Vito. He was a wandmaker, though Ida herself had never owned a wand. She still sometimes liked to go into his shop, especially when he had different looking wands. However what she heard wasn't something she was use to. Someone was pulling wings off a fly! Ida pulled a face at that, trying to place the name. Miria. She'd heard it before, but it was still somewhat new to her.
Ida looked up to Vito as she was greeted, giving him a small curtsy, something that was still habit to her. "Hello Mr Brando." The young vampire greeted before she looked to Miria with a warm smile. It wasn't often that she was able to play with another little girl. "Hello Miria." she giggled, "Her name is Lili." she informed the other girl. The read headed being giggled at the other red-headed girl's excitement. She thought for a moment about the options. "I'll be Mama." she beamed.

Vito never planned on fathering children but it seemed he had a weak spot for them somewhere deep inside. Seeing Ida and Miria play together warmed his heart. Perhaps there was more to this world than business. He took it easy to sit down and smoke a cigarette as he watched the girls play. Vampires remained strange to him. This girl was most likely much older than he was and yet still as bright spirited as little Miria. The little girl was in her element, she finally stopped bugging insects. Perhaps this was what she needed; more interaction with children around her age. Vito was always busy with work, sometimes he felt like he neglected the child he was supposed to look after. "Yay I like Lily!" The little redhead chanted and hugged the (much) older girl. "I'll be mommy too. And papa will be grandpa," Miria chanted as two big blue eyes turned towards the smoking man. Vito chocked on his cigarette. "Grandpa?" Man he was really getting old. With a sigh, he gave in and morphed his hair into a balding grey and added wrinkles to his face. Alright... If that was what made them happy. "Hello mamma Ida and Mommy Miria. I've came to visit and see your newborn baby," he mimicked the best old man voice he could manage. "Oh she is such a beauty, looking just like her two mothers."
