Wealth was something Ty had never known - not in the way his father use to drunkenly yell about. Money was something they didn't have. Ty's grandparents had apparently been rich, gold wasn't a thing his father had wanted as a child. But his father - his namesake - had squandered his wealth before Ty or his siblings had even been born. They had nothing but the roof over their head, which Ty was more than thankful for. What they lacked in funds though, Ty more than made up for with love. Despite his father's psychotic and abusive nature, Ty seemed to take after his mother. Or at least he assumed that was the case, he'd never actually met her.
He was always the lover, the protector when he could be. He shouldered burdens all his life a child shouldn't have to. But he survived. He was good at surviving. His loving and protective nature had led him down the path of healing. He'd worked hard at it, despite his 'condition', and got himself a job in the ministry at the age of 18. It was his longest job, but now he was stuck in hiding, trying to pick up any sort of work he could to support his siblings and his cause. He was loyal to the werewolves, and to his family. He even still lived at home - if only to protect his siblings.
Home was where he was heading at that moment. He'd managed to get a couple of galleons today, hopefully he could give some to his father to keep the man drunk and away from the newest addition to their ridiculous family. It was dark out and thankfully no where near the full moon. That didn't stop other witches and wizards he passed from crossing the street just to avoid him. He smiled at the old couple as they shot him a glare before sighing. He was so tired of this. Of everything. The hate, the stress. Sometimes he just wanted to go to sleep and never wake up. But he knew he couldn't do that. He would continue to thrive. Or at least to survive.

Harriet felt triumphant. As rough as things were at home she hadn't been at home, she'd been up in the air, training. She'd just been told that she was going to be the team captain heading into her second professional Quidditch season. The girl was just outside the family home when she heard the familiar, distinctive gait of her brother approaching, she turned grinning to him and leaning against the door. Her broomstick was stored with the team as was her club, she was honestly almost ready to just head inside and go to sleep. Instead though as she saw Ty, she approached, grinning brightly. She'd not long been off the Knight Bus, which she''d taken home in lieu of appointing, and she was glad to see her brother.
"Hey, you." She greeted her brother giving him a huge hug, the grin on her face wasn't a common thing but it was starting to get that way lately. She was eager to break the good news to her brother. She hadn't dreamed of this and she was sure the same would be true of her lupine sibling. "I think everyone's asleep. Maybe we can take a walk, I have big news." She said to her brother with a playful grin. She had always felt close to Ty. She'd been there with him when their father had done awful things to him, she'd stood by him through that and he returned the favour. Ty may not have been her parent but he acted more like one than her father ever did. Parent, sibling, friend, he was all of these things in one way or another and she was bursting to share her pride with him.
Harriet didn't really wait for her brother's answer before she began to walk, though she caught herself, wondering if her poor amputee brother was up to it. "We can sit out here if that's easier on you?" She offered gently hesitating to let the other catch up.

The young man didn't typically work far from home, so he usually just walked home. He actually enjoyed walking, it was nice. Peaceful even. Though his walking had become less casual with the arrival of little William, he usually tried to get home sooner rather than later. It wasn't hard to do despite his lack of a foot, though many others still believed otherwise. Ty was lost in his thoughts as he walked, snapping out of it only at the sight of his sister. Her gave her a warm smile. "You're out late." he uttered lightly.
Seeing her grin he couldn't help but respond with one of his own. "Big news?" he repeated with a nod, gesturing for her to start walking. He smiled, happily walking beside her once she started. He kept up with her with relative ease, after all he'd been running around after their siblings for a decade and a half since losing his foot. He rolled his eyes, nudging her with his arm as she stopped. "Don't go all soft on me. If I can keep up with CJ I'm sure I can keep up with you." he nodded, "I enjoy walking. I use to walk a lot after... work.. when you were still at school."

That was the opportunity Harriet hadn't known she was looking for. Her brother's teasing her. "Hmmm... I don't know about that..." She teased. "Is CJ the new 2018 season captain of the Holyhead Harpies?" She laughed, letting her news hang in the air. She grinend as she rested her head briefly on her older brother's shoulder. "I don't think anyone's become a national team captain so soon after their debut." Her words were proud but the voice that carried them was a little more nervous. The brave former lioness would give it her all. She was a born leader after all, She'd been a captain in Hogwarts before, and she'd lead her siblings before that.
Harriet found herself leading the way down the road from the house now, grinning ear to ear at her brother. She had honestly known that he wouldn't have wanted to stop on account of his foot. Very few things seemed to stop Ty. When he couldn't find legitimate work he found...Jobs... that he could do. When he lost his foot he learned to walk in a boot, all while dealing with being a new werewolf. When his father had done terrible things to them, he had struggled with his trauma, but here he was. One of the strongest people Harriet knew. Her brother hadn't been a badger for nothing.
"I walk a lot now." She said letting the subject slip back out of her pride, and back to something a little more grounded. "Usually after everyone's asleep." She said with a slight sigh. She didn't want to be at home but she was never going to leave while ever her father was on the scene. Even as a celebrity She would stay put.

Ty smiled as he walked with her, pausing slightly as he processed what she said, He beamed with pride, wrapping an arm around her. "You're clearly the best person for the job though." he chuckled, reaching his other hand to ruffle her hair with a smile. Ty was very proud of her, and at least a little impressed though he expected she would become captain before long.He hadn't expected it this fast, just like Harriet clearly hadn't. But he at least was certain it would lead them to victory.
He walked with her happily down the street, looking around a little but only casually as he was lead away from home on a route he himself had sometimes walked. He tilted his head a little, looking at her as he was informed of her nightly walks. "You know you don't have to stay right? Wouldn't... wouldn't it just cause a ruckus for you if someone from the prophet was to find out about... him." he questioned her lightly.
He loved her being there, but knew she deserved better and could get it. Their shared burden wasn't one he wanted to share with her. He was sure he could take it himself. He didn't want her future to be ruined by her past. Umbridge's tyranny left him doing what he had to to survive once again, doing jobs he'd wanted to stop when he left Hogwarts for good. There wasn't any way for him to get out of this hole right now, he was a beast to Umbridge and the rest of the ministry where he'd once worked, for a while.
But Harriet wasn't a monster, she could do anything she wanted, and Ty wished sometimes that she wanted to be away from them. He would miss her dearly, but at least she'd be safe and happy, at least that's what he thought anyway.
