Eat,Drink, Blah Blah | Sonia twitched her wand and the open sign on the door flipped open. The White Wyvern was open for another days business. She looked around the medium sized open room with its table and chairs set out neat and currently empty though she didn’t expect a lot of customers to turn up especially when there was so much better and reputable premises like the Leaky Cauldron available in Diagon Alley. Why would anyone want to come here to the Knockturn Alley unless you were up to something shady.
She didn’t why she felt this surge of jealousy when it came the Leaky Cauldron. She doubted that the owner of the Hog’s Head in Hogsmeade felt the same way about the Three Broomsticks. Maybe she should look in to that? She had never wanted this place in the first place so she didn’t know why she cared how it did or why she felt this need to compete with another establishment especially since she was sure that Hannah Abbott didn’t care about her and the Wyvern or even know that it existed.
Heading to the end of the bar where her Bombay cat Kali sat in her usually spot. She stroked the cats head.
“Another day, another Galleon”, she said |

Of course Vito had forgotten to do the groceries. It was just too much work today. Without a helper the shop was left to him. Little Miria could clean up a little but he found it fair that she had some time to play instead of work. And even then a little girl couldn’t go out and do the groceries. There would be no cooking tonight. Which meant Miria and Vito had to eat out. There weren’t many places around Knockturn that sold edible food. So as much as he wanted to avoid this place, he ended up going to the White Wyvren. He hoped to be lucky and not see the owner to eye. Somewhere deep down, there were still feelings he tried to kill off. There was no time for a relationship and unlike him Sonia had all the time of the world. It just... Didn't work out from his perspective. Especially as he noticed age catching up on him. He wasn't that young stud anymore. He was a man with responsibilities.
Alas, Sonia was there but Vito had to act like nothing ever happened. He'd set his personal problems aside to be able to feed his little girl, Miria. She shouldn't be victim of his failed love life. "Good evening, Miss Baroque. You're looking lovely as ever," he greeted the owner of this place with a smile. As if they never had something that just, not even broke but faded away. "Do you perhaps have a table for two open?"

Eat,Drink, Blah Blah | It had a been a reasonably quiet day but then the White Wyvern was never a happening place, well it wasn't when Bran wasn't there and he wasn't working today. Things tended to happen when Bran was around but she didn't mind that, it made things interesting and she preferred it when it was interesting. It was why she was always trying to convince the young vampire to work more or even full time but he had his interests and hobbies. She worried about him, she really did, and that was why she wanted him around more so that she could an eye on him. She really worried that he would get himself killed especially in the climate that they were in.
The door opened and Vito Brando entered and asked for a table for two for him and his daughter. She smiled though the smile was more for his daughter than for the man who used to be her lover. Of course she had known him all his life and some might find it a little gross that she hooked up with someone that she had known since he was in nappies. But what was she supposed to do, Knockturn Alley was a small community within a small community and she was a vampire. She wouldn't be surprised if there were other situations like hers out there. He didn't have an issue with it, so why should she.
"Well it's not like you are going to have a hard time finding a table and I am not expecting a rush or anything," she said her voice a little clipped as she came around the bar with a couple of menus. "Forgot to shop again?"

"Thank you, this spot will do just fine, don't you think Miria?" Vito gave Sonia a half smile and a nod as he sat down at a random table. Little Miria looked at the woman curiously but he tried to ignore that. Children were so damn witty. No doubt that Miria would ask tonight who the pretty lady was. His eyes went around the familiar place, it had been a while since he last came here. But the memories were still fresh. It was a mistake coming here but Miria deserved dinner even if he could do without. She was a growing girl. "Thanks, tigress," he thanked Sonia as she handed them the menus, the nickname he always called her came out before he noticed. And when he did it was too late to swallow the word. He altered his eyes quickly on the menu and chuckled sheepishly at her question. "Would you expect any different from me?" It hadn't been the first or last time. There had been days when they were together that he sometimes forgot to eat just because Sonia didn't have to. But now he had a little one under his wing and he couldn't let her go underfed. "It's hard going out when business are doing great and you're your only employee. How are things going for you? I saw you got yourself a new young stud," he said, trying to conceal his jealousy. He'd always know the day would come that he became too old for this beauty. Although that was not the reason at all why they no longer hooked up. It was mostly too blame on him even he knew that. "Miria will have a healthy kids meal. She needs her vegetables," he went back to why he came here. "Ew," the little redhead stuck out her tongue and made a face. Vito ignored such behavior. "And I'll take the fish and chips please."tag: sonia baroque

Eat,Drink, Blah Blah |
The use of the old nickname her used on her took her aback. She had always liked that name but then she liked cat's and tigers were beautiful creatures. Though she knew it was a slip of the tongue her eyes flared at the use. He didn't have the right to call that any longer. At his response to her question she shook her head.
"Not really but you better take better care. I know you are busy but it is not just you that you are looking after now," she said. "You really need to hire some help you know. Control freak that you are I know it will be hard to find but there is someone out there that can help you."
Sonia raised her eyebrow at his comment about Bran. She never saw him that way and they definitely didn't have that kind of a relationship. It wasn't that she didn't think that he was attractive because he was a good looking man but he was in her opinion a lost little lamb and she hoped that she could help guide him in some way. She of course was not going to let Vito know that.
"Things are going well and it is so much better when Bran is here. He really brings in the customers, that charisma of his and all…" she said trailing off for effect.
Vito placed their orders though little Miria didn't seem too happy with Vito's choice. She smiled at the little kneeling down.
"No worries le petit, I will have something special and fun that you will love and will keep your papa happy."

Vito knew she wouldn't like the name that slipped past his tongue. The look in her eyes confirmed his suspicion. Better check for poison when his food arrived. Women could be terrifying. Which was why he lately went about with Vasco from a few blocks further, same street. The two has a business only relation but now and then some steam needed to be released in order to focus on the work. There was no love or affection at all. It was for the best he supposed, it was less time consuming. The comment about having to take better care almost made him feel like he was a reckless teenager again and she found him somewhere drunk in the streets. That was a long time ago. The odd haired man blinked and almost went with a 'yes, ma'm' like back in the day. His eyes shot to the little one he had taken under his wing. "Hmm.. If it weren't for her, I'd probably forget to eat all together. Kids are amazing, I never thought I'd feel responsibility. But Miria deserves a good home better than what I can give but it's already a big improvement compared to what she had," he mumbled and leaned in the kiss the little red head's forehead. She was doing a lot better than the day she came here. The little two year old was malnourished and covered in bruises. Now she was a healthy cheerful kid. It took long for her to start talking but now she was quite the chatter. Vito groaned at the idea of hiring people. "I've got Dio in the vacations, he learns quickly. Especially now I finally put his crazy mom in Mungo's. We'd be lucky if she was killed there during the attack. Didn't get a letter so that hag is probably still alive," he complained. It was awful to speak of his own sister this way. But Sonia met her and would probably agree with him. Ever since she was a child something wasn't quite right with Bianca. The things she did to her son were unforgivable. It was hard to prepare the damage but he hoped Dio might be a decent human one day. "Hiring strangers however? Hell no. I can't trust anyone in my shop without me being there to watch over. What if they try to rob me? Or ruin the materials? Or rearrange the whole place when I'm not looking?" He shook his head. What mostly concerned him were the illegal practices. Would he hire a bad liar or someone who wasn't loyal the ministry could close the shop. Vito tried to pull of a calm and uncaring look when they spoke about Sonia's newest asset. However it was pretty clear that he was not amused hearing her speak so gleeful over the young man. "Well I'm glad for you," he eventually said with a professional nod. "You deserve happiness." The last words were spoken with mixed emotions mostly regret. "Hmm.. He has a nice ass, perhaps I should try it out sometime. I heard he is rather easy," now he just tried to piss her off. Jealousy was often countered by sneers. Seeing Sonia and Miria interact made him smile warmly. It was an endearing sight making him think she deserved a second parent. one that had time for her. The little girl pouted when the woman started convincing her to eat what her father had ordered. "I want to eat pancakes, daddy," Miria pouted and crossed her arms. "Hush sweetie. Tomorrow I'll make them, with apples, your favorite," he told her as a fatherly smile shone on his face. "Miss. Baroque is a really good cook. She can make those icky vegetables taste really good," he assured her. tag: sonia baroque

Eat,Drink, Blah Blah | Sonia frowned at the mention of Vito's nephew Dio and even more so of the mention of the kid's mother Bianca. She had never liked Bianca and she was not surprised that she had taken up with Greyback, he was just the kind of creature that would attract someone with Bianca's mentality. When she turned up with Dio and then continued to make a mess of everything that Vito worked it took all her strength not to step and was pleased when Vito admitted her to St Mungo's it was a the best place for her after all. She didn't wish the woman dead no matter how bad she was. "Well if you think Dio is doing a good job well then good for you but still be careful," she said shaking her head and but then grinned when he responded to her comment about hiring someone to assist. "Like I said control freak. You can't keep working the way you are though. If things keep going the way they are you services will be in more demand. Find someone that you can trust, maybe a get a Hogwarts grad or something. Someone young and trustworthy. Find a Hufflepuff, a creature one at that." The last part was said jokingly but it was true to an extent. They were, after all, meant to be hard-working, trustworthy and loyal which is what he wanted. The mixed signals were flying all over the place from Vito and it was confusing her and Sonia didn't like to be confused. It seemed to be a human traits at least with vamps and weres you knew what you were getting into. They were open and honest with their feelings, if they had any at all. Humans and Vito were all over the place. "That he does," she said a slight sneer in her voice. "You could try but he might just rip your throat out. He is not one to be gentle. Well so I have heard…" Kali had jumped down from her perch and had made her way through the tables and was curling herself around her legs and though Vitos. She head for one of the vacant chairs at the table, the one nearest to Miria and took a seat purring. Sonia grinned at the cat and idea popping into her head. "Oui ma petit, I can make anything, especially vegetables, yummy," she said with a smile and wink at the child as she headed to the kitchen. "I will be back soon mon cher."

Sonia choose to ignore the topic of Bianca. He should've avoided the topic as well. Despite everything she did, Bianca was still his sister. Vito still didn't know how to feel about all that had happened. When Sonia and he were still together he could talk with her about it, empty his heart. But lately he on his own and he was mostly the one to blame. "Hm.. Yes ma'am," he mused when he was told to be careful. Vito chuckled a little as she called him a control freak. That he couldn't deny. He was one through and through. It was part of the reason their relationship stranded till where they were now. "You mean mold and shape them to be the perfect successor?" The Brando family shop was always passed on from father to son. Miria was a girl and probably not even his own kid. Dio didn't carry the Brando last name and he'd worry for the future of the shop if he had to leave it in the boy's hands. Dio had both promising and worrisome qualities. He'd have to break the family tradition either way. So much for all the effort he went through. He'd to endure years of his abusive drunk father, to please him and make sure he'd get the shop. In the end his big brother Lorenzo decided to die before father did. Good because father didn't die much longer after that. What a coincidence. Vito had made sure it looked just like that. "A young Hufflepuff creature who won't touch my shit? Sure I'll put that in the application," he joked and shook his head. "Yikes," he pulled a face as he reached to his throat. "I prefer my throat still being part of my body. Suppose I'll have to take some precautions. I'll follow up your advice and be careful," he winked. Vito likely would never actually try to shag her new employee. However he hoped to make her a little jealous at least, just as she made him jealous. "Woah!" Suddenly a cat joined their company. "Hey there Kali, long time no see," he talked to the cat. As the furry animal settled down near Miria, he worried for the feline's safety. "KITTY!" The little red head jumped up and rushed towards the ball of fur. With her little hands she greedily started petting the cat. "Gentle, Miria!" Vito warned her before she'd do things the cat wouldn't like. Just in time because the shimmering in the girl's eyes betrayed she planned on picking the cat up and dragging it around. With the cat around, the little girl lost all attention she had for the adults. Vito shrugged and grinned at Sonia as she left . tag: sonia baroque

Eat,Drink, Blah Blah | Though it was her idea that to hire someone to assist him she wasn't overly pleased that the his automatically thoughts wend to moulding them into a perfect successor. She was starting to wish that she had not said anything and she halved hoped that this witch/wizard or creature didn't show up. Merlin help them if he found someone to shape into Vito's own image. Sonia pushed the thought to back of her mind and started work on Vito's and Miria's meals. The child's reaction to Kali before she left made Sonia smile because she knew now that her idea for the child's meal will please her. She wasn't so sure if Vito would approve but if the little girl was happy then who was he to complain. Vito's meal was easy and standard fare for the pub but Miria's wasn't but that made it fun and interesting. Assembling the meal she made sure that it was fun and interesting and in no time at all she was back out in the dining room. She first placed the fish and chips if front of Vito and the smiled at Miria before placing the meal in front of the child. "I am not sure that your papa would consider it that healthy but his opinion does not matter in the scheme of things. As long as you like it than I am happy," Sonia said and waited for the child's reaction to her cat shaped mini pizza's with olives for eyes and peppers for whiskers and spots made of cheese, tomatoes and pepperoni. "Bon Appetite."

Vito's eyes followed his ex lover when she walked off to prepare their food. However he was easily distracted by Miria, making sure she didn't’ accidentally strangle the poor cat. That was about what he did as he waited, looking around the place that hadn’t changed much just like it’s owner and watching Miria. When Sonia returned, Vito’s eyebrow rose at the meal that was handed to Miria. Not at all what he had in mind. Not enough vegetables. Some little girl was going to eat some fruit tonight. “Papa, it’s a Kitty!” Miria pulled his sleeve enthusiastically. Vito rolled his eyes. “You’re going to eat some fruit tonight, Miria. This might be yummy but if you want to be a big strong girl, you need your vitamins,” he told her as he started his own food. “I can’t blame you. It’s not like you have experience taking care of growing children,” he mumbled as he eyed his ex. This indeed was a jab into her direction. “What they like isn’t always good for them.” It was not like he was the greatest father ever but he knew some basics on food. Which was knowledge he gained for Miria’s sake. He still ate trash himself. sonia baroque

Eat,Drink, Blah Blah | Sonia's eyes flashed. His words had stung her and she knew that he done it deliberately too. She had always expected to have kids and had wanted to as well. It was not something that they had really discussed, though admittedly talking about anything was not really how they had spent their time together. He did, however, know when she had been changed and what would have been expected of a woman in those days and that marriage and children were important for bloodlines. To throw in her face that she had no experience with children and that she had no chance any longer of having any was a low blow in her eyes. "As I said to the child, your opinion does not count and that I cook to please the child. As long as she enjoys it and is happy than so am I," she said. "As for fruit I can make a lovely salade de fruit that should please not only you but ma petite as well. It would be better than anything that you may have lying around at your place."
