RELATIONSHIP WITH PARENTS: She had a wonderful relationship with her parents as both Jerome and Camille doted on their only child, who they referred to as their Sun or as they said "Soleil". It ended up being quite ironic that Sonia ended up becoming associated with the moon when she was turned into a vampire. She is thankful that they never knew that she had become a vampire. They died the same night by the one who turned her.

Sonia was born in Toulouse France to her Jerome and Mirabelle Baroque in 1857. Until the age of 8 she and her family lived in France but after been offered a high ranking job with the British Ministry of Magic in International Magical Cooperation moved to a large property in Ireland. Though Sonia loved France she loved the property in Ireland as well and took to it well.







Fun loving though a little conceited she attended Hogwarts and was sorted into Gryffindor house where she was quite popular within the house and a good flyer though admittedly she preferred the backs of beasts such as Hippogriffs and Abraxans.







After finishing school she travelled a bit and attended parties, including some muggle ones, and seemed to have no intention of settling down and marrying or getting a job though her parents did try though admittedly not very hard. Evening a marriage was arranged between herself and the son of a friend of the family, Rickard Clay. Sonia from the get go did not like Rickard despite his good looks but Rickard was smitten and her parents considered it a good match.







What the family was unaware of was that Rickard was a vampire, who had been turned a few years prior. He had not bothered to inform the Baroque family of this fact and his family did not know either. When it was found out her family broke off the engagement which was fine with Sonia as she didn't want to marry him in the first place. He flew into a rage and attacked and killed her parents before attacking her as well. Before she died his rage subsided and he forced her to ingest his blood. She was reborn as a vampire and has hated him ever since.







She stayed with friends of the family the Leone's who did not look down on her for being a vampire. The whole family were animagi and so knew what it was like to be more than what you seemed. She was particularly close to their son Salvador, who when transformed was a European Wildcat. She continued to travel and party but would also seclude herself for months to years at a time on the family property in Ireland where she would breed her horses.







Salvador would eventually go into business for himself and open the White Wyvern in Knockturn Alley and occasionally Sonia would visit and work at the bar before leaving once more. In 1968 Salvador died and left the Wyvern to Sonia though she never wanted it and had told him so on many occasions. She though took over and has run the pub ever since to honour her friend.
