Hanuel's fondest memory, while not necessarily coming from a pure place, was receiving his OWL results, finding out that he had outdone his older sister's marks substantially. The happiness comes from his competitive side, knowing that even though she was the pride of the family, he would win in the long run.

dementor memory:
Coming out as gay to his parents. Hanuel's parents didn't take it well when he came out. The deafening silence would be the first thing to flood back to his mind. The way his father simply walked out of the room. The way his sister moved to comfort him and to his shame he couldn't let her. Hanuel was genuinely horrified that he had ruined his family life forever, and even though his family have accepted him now, he still fears it isn't genuine.

Hanuel's hair flared from his usual pale brown to a hot red, highlighted with glittering gold as he cheered for his house. Often times he felt a little at odds with them. He understood why Gryffindor had the reputation they did, of being the 'good guys' the school stalwarts, but he always thought it was stupid. Bravery and loyalty are well and good, but they don't make you perfect, after all. Either way though, this was Quidditch, and Hanuel's relationship with his housemates didn't matter right now, so long as they won the cup. His voice carried a cheer of “Gryffindor! Lions for the cup!”

In this moment he knew that competition meant more to him than the disagreements he felt with many members of his house, with the pressure to be a 'good guy' that had been lumped onto him. His eyes followed one of the chasers, the boy held the quaffle. In most circumstances Hanuel would have been more interested in his looks, or in speaking his mind about the other boy's muggle mother. Not now though. He gripped the edge of his seat as the player dodged a bludger, weaved skillfully under an oncoming chaser, and around the Ravenclaw keeper, before scoring another ten points.

As play paused, the boy's eyes flitted over to the Ravenclaw stands where students booed bitterly. The young man couldn't help but feel smug as he watched the other house realising that their team was bound to lose. As Preoccupied for a few minutes watching the reaction of a girl he'd taken a particular dislike to, Hanuel lost track of the game. What bought him back to reality was the sound of the commentator loudly declaring “He's got the snitch! One-hundred and fifty points to Ravenclaw.” Hanuel's hair instantly turned jet black, as did his irises. “What!?” How could his house lose? They had that game in hand, and now he would have to face the idea that Ravenclaw was the better team. He'd have to admit that all of his gloating, and all of his bragging had been wrong. That was fine, if a little embarrassing,but he had put faith into this, invested himself in it, and he felt cheated. The emotional boy wouldn't be shy about what he had to say to his housemates tonight.

He scowled and began to leave the stands, in no mood to talk, now.
