It was probably a good thing Hanuel wasn't captain. He was too competitive for it. He'd have worked the team until they dropped, their end of year exam marks would have been terrible. They'd have won the house cup though. if only by training until every action on the pitch was rote. As it was Hanuel had managed to temper his own competitiveness and love of the game with the disappointment of missing out on the position. He'd limited the amount of extra traning he was undertaking. Today was one of those 'limited' times though. He made his way out to the pitch and rose high into the, taking a warm up lap before hovering at the goal posts, waiting. He hoped soon he'd see the Blackwell twins coming. Gryffindor had a history of excellent twin players, with Fred and George Weasley being strong past examples. Hanuel was sure that these two were just as talented, though admittedly he'd never seen the Weasley twins play.
As his teammates approached Hanuel waved down to them, but he didn't dismount his broom or yell. He was friendly but still fairly determined. He was ready for a two-pronged attack. There was only a couple of games left at this point but they were going to take home that house cup if it killed Hanuel, he thought. As he did so his hair turned to deep scarlet and glittering gold, as it often was when he played. The colours of his house.

Jacob enjoyed Quidditch practice, enjoyed being up high and flying around on his broom instead of being in class. The male wanted to prepare for the games they were soon to play - the other teams sucked according to him. The male half of the Blackwell twins was a cocky guy, everyone who knew him knew it. The male hated losing, and it showed every time the team lost a game in the past. Sometimes he had to hide somewhere to keep himself from blaming the team for causing them the win.
”Let’s hope Hanuel can handle us, Evie.” he told his sister was they walked onto the pitch, his eyes on the teammate, giving him a wave and nod back. It was something they all needed after what’s been going on the world that day. ”Should we take it easy?” Of course not - Jacob never took it easy on his teammates. He liked to make them work to get that Quaffle from him. evie blackwell , song hanuel

And while you are sitting indoors waiting for the storm to pass I will be outside dancing in the rain
❧ Evie loved quidditch practice especially since she had her morning run already behind her and did some parkour around the castle. People thought she was a danger but honestly she felt like she was just that good.
"Monkey he is going to regret even inviting us for practice." she said and stretched a bit. "Take it easy? Never." Evie was going to show this guy why the twins were the best thing ever happening to the Gryffindor team.

The Korean student had no interest in an easy practice. The reason he had chosen these two is because they were both incredibly skilled. They were synchronised. They would probably mop the floor with him, but that was great. He'd never improve with easy practice. Hanuel had every intention of becoming a professional player and to do that he needed this. He looked down at the two siblings working out below, getting warmed up. Hanuel himself had been for a jog and stretched before mounting up on his broom, now he was just waiting, watching their movements. He didn't quite manage to gauge anything specific about them, neither of them seemed to be nursing exploitable injuries, neither of them seemed particularly eager to take charge over the other. This was good, even if it meant she'd lose the fight.
After a few moments he swept down and landed. "Thanks for coming, guys." He said with a grin. He was sure that he was the best keeper at the school and that these two were the best chasers. "If we keep up training like this we're winning the cup for certain." He said in a passionate tone. "Let's not waste time though." Hanuel grinned. "Good luck." With that he rose up into the air. He wasn''t going to regret this. These two were guaranteed to put him through his paces.

Jacob gave his sister a smirk as she mentioned not taking it easy on their Keeper and from that moment he had noted that he wasn't going to be easy. They needed to challenge each other, make sure they're ready for the final games of the season. It was one thing Jacob dreaded about summer holidays, they couldn't practice during them for the next season. It was a negative thing, but Jacob wasn't going to waste his summer flirting with girls and forgetting about school. Okay, he said that the year before and he had a summer thing with a girl he had met. He shouldn't be distracted. "We're going to destroy him out there." he mentioned and looked at Hanuel for a moment with a slight smirk. "You're going to need the luck, Hanuel. Don't complain too much, yeah?" Jacob mounted his broom, kicking off the ground and flew around a bit to get the feel back. evie blackwell & song hanuel
