Dealing With Things In My Own Way [Hayley]

Jesse was working the bar as usual as his sister was cursing somewhere within the back of the place. Of course she didn’t have to work there, but she didn’t want to be homeless either and so he had given her a room upstairs in trade of her helping out when he needed. But Jordan’s attitude was getting on the elder Young’s nerves so he just avoided her whenever she entered the room. It wasn’t his fault she wanted to drink the night away instead of being the responsible adult she should be. Ever since they lost the twins to that horrible accident, everything had changed.

The male was serving tables when he heard the door open and he peeked back at the entrance, making the male smile at the sight of his girlfriend entering the Inn. ”Hey, thought you were working at home?” he asked softly as he shoved his hands into his pocket. ”What can I get you?”

Hayley had been working at home but her sister was being such a dork all day that she just needed some fresh air. Hayley loved her older sister but sometimes she just wished the babysitting didn't happen in her own apartment. With a sigh she walked to the three broomsticks knowing her boyfriend owned it and just gave him a smile as she walked into the place.

"I was but Alex couldn't stop talking about her wedding plans while watching Cara.. it drove me insane." she admitted with a slight chuckle and walked over to Jesse to hug him. Sometimes a hug just felt right in its own way. The blonde adjusted her glasses and looked around.

"Water is fine." she said softly and took a seat at the bar. "It's quiet."

The elder Young chuckled as he heard what was happening back home and he knew damn well Alex was beyond excited about getting married. The male was happy for her himself, but he understood why Hayley was getting annoyed. The male was married once before his ex-wife left him while pregnant with their second child and he had no idea where she disappeared too. For all he knew, he had a daughter out there somewhere around Cara’s age and he didn’t know her name at all. He had told Hayley about it, not wanting to keep a secret from her.

Jesse wrapped his arms around her when she hugged him, making the male kiss her on the head and he nodded as he moved behind the bar to get his girlfriend a water, untwisting the cap and putting it in front of her. At mention of it being quiet, he heard a snort in the back room and he shook his head. ”You could say that. Jordy is being annoying today.” he said softly. He didn’t want his sister to come out and complain to him.

Hayley had many siblings but her dearest sibling was her sister Alex. She loved her sister more than words could say but she also knew Alex was a woman who lived a dangerous job life but managed to make it work with the love of her life, Hayley wanted that too. 

"Maybe she is just bored?" she offered and took a sip of her water. Hayley was never really a troubled child, she was always the kind one and her sister had to save her ass. "I guess we're both hiding?"

Jesse had heard some remarks from the backroom, giving Hayley a nod and he just chuckled a bit. There was a time when he had doubts about his sister, but in the end, she kept this place open for business even if she didn't like the job. The elder Young had looked out for all his siblings, wanting them to be safe and he knew they were happy. Somewhat. Sometimes they wouldn't talk about their feelings, which is okay by him.

"Maybe she is,I don't know. Just being a pain in the...well, you know." he said softly and nodded at her. "Hiding is great. We both need it. Maybe catch a break from everything and just go somewhere quiet." he said and watched at Jordan walked out, waving at them and headed up the stairs.
