Josie slowly lowered her hand away from Venus's cheek. She wanted her to feel better and feel happier. Josie shook her head a bit and ran a hand through her hair. Josie rubbed her arm slowly hoping to comfort her a bit. 

"I don't believe that." maybe that was naive of her but she believed that Venus isn't a bad person. Josie just kept rubbing her arm to cheer her up and sighed a bit. 

"You are a good person but you have to let yourself be that person." Josie truly felt in her heart that Venus is a good person and a strong human being. The blonde felt her tongue licking her lips and leaned in to kiss her back.

Josie's trust was starting to actually get through to Venus. This girl actually saw good in her and that was amazing. Venus had been struggling to see the good in herself, but Josie trusted her and that meant something big. Venus looked at the other as their kiss ended and she just smiled, feeling her heart race. She reached down and took both of the other's hands just looking down at their interlaced fingers, smiling, blushing gently. She slowly rose her eyes back up to look at Josie, amazed that anyone could be so beautiful inside and out.

"You'll help me, right? you'll tell me if I do something awful, and make sure that I do better?" She pleaded. She wanted nothing more than to make things right, and to be a better person. She had done quite enough to Josie already. Slowly, she broke hand to hand contact with Josie almost reluctant to do so. she wanted to keep this girl close to her forever, and in this moment that felt real, and possible.

Venus took a sip of her drink and felt that even butterbeer was better with Josie around. Or maybe it just tasted better to better people? Either way as Venus looked at her girlfriend she saw the woman in a new light. She'd always been sweet, and gentle and beautiful but now there was so much more to that. There was so much strength. So love. Somehow Venus and Gia both had failed to break Josie. She was so strong and Venus was in absolute awe of this amazing creature. She struggled to understand it, and eventually she felt the need to ask.

"Why do you love me?" She knew there was probably no simple answer. She understood that Josie may not have an answer but... Venus needed to understand how someone like her could have someone like Josie.
