ACTIVITY CHECK SUMMARY
Another activity check has come and gone and this time we have lost less characters than we did in the first activity check. Thanks to everyone for responding in such a quick manner… in fact there were only 3 characters total who had not responded at all to the check. Once again we lost more male characters than female, but there was a higher ratio of saved characters to deleted characters than last time.

OF THE MONTHS
After a discussion we have elected to remove of the months completely from the board for now. This works out to be easier for all involved and one of the few ways we can insure fairness to all as poll voting has already been tried and failed.
JOB SIGN-UPS OPEN
Given its the summer months and new characters are eligible to enter the workforce (both full time and part time). To prepare for this there is a thread up in the announcements for you to post in if you wish for your characters to have a job. It is not mandatory for your character to claim a job if they otherwise wouldn’t. We have tagged those who have graduating characters within the thread, but if you have a char who would like to switch jobs, enlist in an army (assuming they are of age), or take on a part time job feel free to post in there too.
This thread will be open for at least 2 weeks, although don't fret... if you don't make it in time just PM a staff member and we will sort you out!
In that same thread we tagged characters who would become first years in the new term as there is also a form there for you to tell us what house you would like for your child character.
A CONCERNING DEVELOPMENT
Over the last couple of months we have noticed something that's become rather concerning. We understand that reading paragraphs upon paragraphs of writing especially if it’s fairly the same from one site to the next (such as the rules) however when this starts to happen within a thread that has yet to reach the second page something needs to happen.
We understand that not all members are doing this, however as stated this has slowly been escalating over the last couple of months and when it moves from out of character threads to in character threads (which was the reason for the latest mass thread to be closed and the house points earned from that thread being removed) something must be done.
As a result, the registration topics will now be located within a password protected board. This password has two words, and each word is concealed within two different threads containing important information for the site. We hope that this will sort out the inconsistencies between some threads and the information given within threads.
NEW TERM, NEW SKIN
For those of you who have just logged in, do not panic! You haven't done anything wrong... in fact we have given the site a face lift! This new skin celebrates the fact that Gryffindor won the house cup last term... with it comes new miniprofiles and... new avatar sizes. The new size is 230x400 please note however that uploading a picture to proboards will not post it to the site in it's correct size but will upload it to fit within 150x150. There is nothing I can do to change that, however if you need a couple places to host those images I recomend imgur or Nickpic both of these sites are free and reliable to host your pictures on (unlike tinypic which could replace your graphics without warning to some obscene pornography or something like that)
