As Eleanor searched for a compartment on the train where she might find her friend Tierney she decided to go and see if her little brother Frank had found a seat yet. She couldn't just not check in with him. She was his older sister. While she wasn't the oldest in the family, she still felt a bit protective of her little brother. Eleanor had always been a family oriented person. There were times when she would fight with her siblings sometimes but she still loved them a lot. Finally Eleanor arrived at a compartment and she gently slid the door open, wondering if Frank was in there. "Frank, are you in here? I wanted to check in before I went and found my friend."

Frank waved goodbye to his mother since his father was already at Hogwarts until the train started to move, then he went and found a compartment. When he wasn’t able to find any of his friends, he settled on an empty compartment, took his History of Magic textbook out of his trunk, then sat down. One of his friends would find him at some point during the ride and if not, he would always catch up with them at Hogwarts. He was going to take this time to look through his textbook and get a headstart on what they’ll be learning this year.

He was so excited to finally be starting his third year at the school. Judging by what he’d read from his textbooks already, they were studying some pretty interesting topics, particularly in History of Magic. Not to mention, he was really looking forward to starting Ancient Runes and Arithmancy as well. Frank had found out that they were required in order to become a curse breaker and he couldn’t wait to see what they were like.

He looked up from his book as he heard the door slide open. “I’m here, Elle,” he responded. “Been to every compartment looking for me?”

Eleanor was relieved to find that her brother was indeed in this compartment. She had been looking all over for him. She laughed a bit when Frank asked if she had been to every single compartment looking for him. "Maybe." she replied with a small laugh.  She felt bad that she had to go to such lengths to find her brother because it meant speaking to other students, some she barely even knew, and asking them if they had seen where her brother had went.

She also felt bad that she had probably disrupted the other students during her search while they were trying to settle in during the ride to Hogwarts. Eleanor entered the compartment and sat down in the seat across from her brother. Her stuff was already in an empty compartment she had found when she first boarded the train. "So are you excited for third year?" she asked her brother. As for Eleanor she was excited about starting her Fifth year. Of course it was her O.W.L year so of course she would have lots of studying to do. It was probably going to be a very stressful year due to that but she was looking forward to what else her fifth year might have in store for her.

Frank shook his head, smiling when his sister answered. He wondered how many people she disrupted doing that. “Well, that’s some dedication,” he replied. “You could’ve easily just waited until we got to Hogwarts. We’d probably have a little bit of time to talk before the sorting started.” He wasn’t complaining though. It gave Frank a little bit of company before he did his own disruption of the train, looking for his friends. “So what’s going on? Something happen or are you just looking for company?”

He closed his history book on his hand, so he could remember where he was at. “Yeah,” he replied. “I get to start electives this year. It’s going to be awesome.” Frank was well aware that he was probably one of the few students actually looking forward to starting more classes, but he was sorted into Ravenclaw for a reason. He was a little disappointed, though, that he was sticking with two instead of at least trying the others, but he wanted to have a little bit of time to spend with his friends or sisters. He might like school and studying, but the idea of spending all of his time doing homework wasn’t something he really liked. “What about you? Are you ready to take your OWLs?”

Eleanor smiled and laughed a bit when Frank told her she could have waited until they got to Hogwarts. "I suppose I could've but I didn't want to wait that long." she answered. The train ride to Hogwarts was a long one and she just wanted to keep her brother company for awhile especially since Eleanor didn't really have anything else to do at the moment. "Just looking for company I guess." she answered. She nodded when Frank mentioned that he would be able to take elective classes this year. Eleanor remembered her third year almost like it was yesterday, even though it had to have been at least two years ago. "What electives are you thinking of taking?" she asked her brother. When Frank asked if she was ready for to take her OWLS, she sighed a bit. "I guess I am. Studying for them is going to be a lot of work, but I'm ready. I'm probably going to be overwhelmed this term."

“Company is always good,” he replied. “I’ve been reading through my textbooks, but I can do that later.” Frank would probably do it when he got back to the common room after the feast. Most people tended to use that time to go to bed, but he wasn’t always tired right away and laying in bed, doing nothing wasn’t that appealing.

“Well, I want to be a Curse Breaker when I’m older, so I looked into what courses were required in order for me to get into the training. I’ll be taking Arithmancy and Ancient Runes. Runes, in particular, seems like it would be a pretty interesting course. Do you know anything about them?” Frank nodded. He’d never asked older students or his parents what fifth year and beyond were like, but he could imagine just how busy they were since they were getting to the end of a person’s schooling. In a way, he was glad to still have two years before he made it to fifth year. “I imagine it’s pretty busy, but I’m sure you’ll do fine. Just make sure you do a lot of studying, even if you don’t feel like it.”
