Life has continued on for the wizarding world after the Battle of Hogwarts, but there have been lasting effects, even overseas. In America, the struggles are fresh. A new leader has emerged, a former Death Eater in hiding, ready to take over. Acknowledging Voldemort’s flaws, he has amassed a following, a new group of Dark Wizards with the belief of the purebloods right to the world, power of muggles and of the magical world. The first goal, in order to establish the power, is to overthrow MACUSA.
Magical Congress is beginning to become divided, starting with the Aurors. The head of magical law enforcement is a firm believer in continuing to keep the magical world hidden, but there are those who feel they should make their place known. The rest of MACUSA is beginning to face a similar faction, causing more and more political debates to occur, the checks and balances system failing.
As the no-maj world becomes more and more present, the magical world needs to find ways to adapt. At least, that is the thought of the current headmaster. It is why he has begun to update the curriculum, adding new classes to teach technology and world skills that go beyond just the magical knowledge students will need to control their gifts. However, there are those that are unhappy with this and are discreetly, and some not so discreetly, trying to fight it.
Behold the Brave is a Post Potter RP set in modern-day America with the focus on Ilvermorny and the MACUSA. BTB is run by three individuals with nearly forty years worth of experience between them. BtB is a mature based site, hosted by JCINK Premium, but the mature aspects are all voluntary, not mandatory. BtB does feature a modest word count of at least 300 words or at least 2-3 paragraphs per post. It features fun additions like wizarding jobs, original pureblood families, and an open plot that is directed by the players, with small staff direction.
