The ticking of the huge clock resounded through the surrounding area as Jin stood there and looked out through the wrought iron workings and to the quad area down below. It was early morning on a Saturday, so there weren't any classes, and most students were probably sleeping in seeing as it was the weekend. Only a select few - mostly the bookworms that wanted that fleeting desire of unattainable perfection - were up. Then there was him; he wasn't sure why he was up so early. Maybe he could blame it on his head boy duties. Making sure that things were running smoothly as they should from a student's perspective.
Seok-Jin had been so very excited when he'd been able to tell his mother and father that he had been named Head Boy. They had been so very proud of him, and he had seen the sheer pride in their eyes and in their smiles, but the news had been so bittersweet, because in that same moment, Jin had found out that his father was sick........cancer. So with a smile of pride on his lips, he had let tears slide down his cheeks. Everything had hit him so quickly that nothing had really processed yet, but it was starting to. In the quiet hours of the morning, the stillness began to close in around him, and while he tried his best to find some inkling of comfort and stability in it, he found nothing but chaos and an overwhelming feeling of helplessness. He was here at Hogwarts while his mother was left alone to care for his father, his scum of an older brother having moved out and back to Korea to live with their father's parents.
"Hanuel....I n-need you..." he whispered softly as he wrapped his arms around himself. Normally, Jin was the strong one, the one that would hold and comfort Hanuel, but in this moment, the tables had turned and now, he was the one that needed holding and comforting, and he once again whispered his lover's name as if the two of them had some sort of psychic connection and just a mere muttering of the other's name would make him suddenly appear. Jin was sure that it probably wouldn't happen, but oh how he wished for it more than anything in this moment.
