Even outside the Quidditch season, and well away from game time, it wasn't unusual for Hanuel to find himself sitting on in the stands looking up at the three hoops he so-often guarded. Quidditch had been a big part of his life since he had learned to fly. It had been a competitive outlet, a way to vent his aggression and frustration. When he came out, and struggled with being gay, Quidditch was what made him just like the other guys, and gave his proud, ultra-competitive parents something to be proud of, even if they didn't approve of his orientation. It was natural that when he was bored, or stressed, he'd find himself gravitating toward the pitch. This cool weekend morning was no different. Hanuel sat in the highest row of seats, staring, an imaginary game playing out in his head. slytherin Versus Gryffindor. Hanuel smirked for a moment. He felt like he was Oliver Wood with style, right now, as he saw himself making amazing saves, but there was one player he couldn't see himself having an easy time with, even in his own cocky, egotistical mind. His fellow Korean student. Jin and Hanuel were close, when there wasn't a game coming up, but they turned into bitter rivals when they were about to clash on the field.
Hanuel's hair and cheeks both turned vivid, blushing pink as he imagined the other. He had never said it out loud but he knew there was sexual tension there. He didn't know if it only went one way, or if there was something mutual behind it, and he didn't really want to. He pushed it into the back of his head. Hanuel may not be a goody-two-shoes stereotypical Gryffindor student, but he was still dependable, and loyal to his house, and he mentally kicked himself for his attraction to the enemy. Hanuel sighed. and shook his head. His hair turned from pink to vivid red and gold. as it so often was when he was around the quidditch pitch. His mind wandered to the Gryffindor victory. the cheering, the celebration. His team mates' adulation. Maybe if he was lucky, there'd be a cute guy waiting in Gryffindor Tower, amazed by his playing.
Soon though the fantasy broke as Hanuel spotted another figure moving onto the pitch? He couldn't quite see who they were from here. Were they coming over, were they going to fly? Hanuel watched the approaching figure with interest.

Jin stepped outside the castle, taking in a deep breath of the cool, crisp autumn air, his broomstick in his hand. He was dressed in a pair of snug fitting jeans that accentuated him in the right places much like he liked his school uniform trousers to do. Jin was one of those that knew he had a nice body, and even when he was dressed, he showed it off as much as he possibly could; now was no different. And honestly, he didn't care what people thought about him showing off like he did. How was it the saying when? Those who matter don't mind, and those who mind don't matter. Jin pretty much lived his life by those words and had found that he was much better off doing so.
The young chaser made his way down to the quidditch pitch, actually enjoying himself. He'd accomplished a lot this year. He made quidditch captain as well as prefect, and when he'd sent an owl to his parents letting them know, their reply owl had been full of pride and joy over their son. While he'd never show it outwardly, Jin was always looking for their approval, a habit that stemmed back to when his older brother would push him around and tell him that he wasn't good enough and never would be. It was why Jin always pushed himself to be the best that he could be, no matter how much it stressed him out and wore him down; he knew how to put on a face to hide it from the rest of the world.
Reaching the pitch, he stood there for a moment, his dark gaze slowly sliding around the stands and catching sight of a person sitting in the Gryffindor section. He watched them for a moment, watching as their pink hair turned to a vivid red and gold. He smirked, knowing immediately who it was. Mounting his broom, he kicked off into the air, smiling as the wind whipped past him, chilling his cheeks and turning them a soft, rosy pink. This was it; this was what he loved - the freedom that came with being in the air where no one could touch him. Up here where there was no high standards, no great expectations, and no abusive brother. Up where he didn't have a care in the world and didn't have to worry about a thing. He was just........free.
Taking a couple laps, he slowed up and approached the Gryffindor section of stands, smirking when he confirmed that the person there was who he'd thought it was. "Well, hello there Hanuel. I thought that was you," he said in that silky soft voice of his as he hovered there in front of the other.

Hanuel's eyes watched as the other approached. As he got a little closer, Hanuel recognised the same boy he'd been thinking of earlier, a bright grin flickered across his face, as he thought fondly of the other. He had loved the competition of games against Slytherin because of this particular player. The two had been fiercely competitive during the season last year. They were both competitive and aggressive after all. Hanuel liked that. It motivated him to do better, almost as much as showing up his sister had. But he'd also liked the connection he formed with the other after the season. They'd gotten along decently as friends, even if there were those in his house who saw that as 'sleeping with the enemy' Hanuel had never much cared. After all being Gryffindor was about bravery, so why would any self respecting Gryffindor let others' judgement get the better of them. At least that's how Hanuel saw things.
As the other took off, Hanuel watched him, impressed by his grace and poise, wishing he had bought his broomstick with him, so that he could sore with the other. Hanuel's eyes lingered on Jin as he flew a few laps. Hanuel was taking note in his mind of how the other moved, seeing this as a chance to get a feel for a rival. Jin was fast, talented. His turns were sharp... He was so handsome. No! Hanuel shook his head not wanting that to distract him. He bit his lip trying to keep his focus. Jin was a hell of a chaser, and if Hanuel let himself get distracted by the others' looks, how would he ever be able to focus on the quaffle when it came to a game? Even here, in this mundane moment, with nothing at stake, Hanuel judged himself. He needed to know he was ready. That he could handle this situation.
The Gryffindor let out a dreamy, distracted sigh. He'd given up on trying to focus on the game. He'd kick himself for that later. instead now he focused on his fellow Korean student. His hair shifted again, to a light, but, hopefully, handsome platinum blonde. As the other approached, a light smile graced his lips. "You call that flying, Jin?" He said in an obviously playful tone. "If you move like that when you play against Gryffindor, that cup's ours." He was covering, moreso than anything. Well, that and teasing. Hanuel took Jin very, very seriously as a player, and he was keenly aware of his week spot for the other. "How were your holidays?" He asked, dropping the teasing cockiness out of his voice, letting it become more of a purr.

Jin chuckled at Hanuel's words. "Of course I call it flying. And, we'll see who gets that cup. I say the odds are ever in the favor of my house.....Slytherin house," the young male said, a smirk on his lips but a determined look in his eyes. While he'd taken a fancy to the Gryffindor in front of him, there was still that house rivalry there when it came to things like the House Cup and the Quidditch Cup. And while Jin may not outwardly show it, he prided himself on being the reason that Slytherin would be getting that Quidditch cup; well.....it hadn't happened yet, but Jin was so sure that his house would be getting that Quidditch cup. In fact, he was so sure of it, that it was all he was focusing on, leaving his fellow housemates to worry about the House cup, confident that they could score that for the house while he nabbed the Quidditch cup for them.
Hearing the cockiness leave Hanuel's voice, his smirk actually softened to something likened to a smile. However, there was still that slight aire of over-confidence; he was a Slytherin, after all, so it came natural to him. "They weren't too bad actually. Stayed in Korea for a couple of weeks visiting family then came back home. It's where I got this," he answered then reached up and pulled his shirt up enough to show his chest. There, on the left side over his heart was tattooed the Korean Hangul for 'immortal'. His perfectly chiseled abs twitched a little in protest as the cool October air ghosted over his skin, making him pull his shirt back down as he continued gazing at the other, eyes seeming to roam unendingly over him - head to toe then back up, the gaze never ceasing.
"How about you Hanuel? How were your holidays?" he asked as he came down and landed, perfectly balanced on the bleacher just below the other. He set his broom aside and then sat down where he'd landed, looking up at Hanuel as he awaited his reply.

Hanuel registered the others' wandering stare only vaguely. He was fascinated by the fact the other was staring. Hanuel knew he was an attractive guy but was Jin attracted to him, was this some mind game? The Gryffindor Prefect heard his counterpart's words, interested in what his friend and rival had, but it was the exposed skin, the muscle and the tattoo that drew the majority of his attention. Hanuel gave a vague nod at the other's words, as his eyes lingered on the other, until his shirt descended again. A grin crossed his lips. As the other gracefully into the stand and onto the bleacher before him. Hanuel was glad for his metamorphmagus nature, as it made it easy to hide the blush that would naturally have crossed his cheeks in this situation. He managed to play it cool. That said, what had he done, how was his holiday? In this moment he found himself scrambling for anything terribly impressive he had done. There was more or less nothing, aside from his new broomstick. He couldn't compete with a trip back home this year. "Honestly it was a pretty unimpressive time. Aside from getting a new broomstick, not a huge amount happened... I'd brag about the broom, and how good I am on it, but you'll see that for yourself." He said, giving his best smirk to the other, again.
Slowly he stretched out, eyes closing. "I went back to Korea last year." He said, slipping into Korean, partially just to show that the two had that in common. "We were there a month. It was interesting. Even the muggle culture there is pretty fascinating." His blood purist nature was showing, and Hanuel wasn't really thinking about it. His prejudice didn't come from a place of hatred so much as it did from ignorance, having been raised in a prejudiced family. "I'd love to go back some time. Maybe once I've finished school here, I'll spend a year in South Korea." he said thoughtfully, his eyes lingering on the other's. Pondering the other handsome young man, Hanuel leaned forward against Jin's bleacher, chin resting on his wrists.
"So, you made captain this year?" He asked conversationally, though there was a distinct note of jealousy in his voice. Hanuel hadn't managed to claim quidditch captain, himself. That jealous edge to his voice made him sound hard, contentious, honestly he was. As much as he may like Jin, he couldn't take something like that laying down. His emotional state was tempestuous at best.

Jin watched the other.....watched as he seemed to struggle to come up with something he'd done over the summer. Apparently not too impressive of a holiday, he thought to himself. He kept his attention on Hanuel, listening to what he said as he explained that he'd gotten a new broomstick. For some, he was sure that was exciting, but as he watched Hanuel, the other didn't seem to be one of the people that made a really, really big deal out of getting a new broomstick. Of course, being an avid Quidditch player, a new broomstick was sort of a mandatory thing. Well.......it was for Jin. One of his family members usually got him a new one at the beginning of each school year, and the ones he didn't use anymore, he usually would give to one of his cousins or donate to the school. Such a donation gave he and his family name prestige here at Hogwarts, even if he was a Slytherin. For him, that only made it better; a laughing in the face of the goody-goody two shoes here; let them know that they aren't the only ones that can do things to get known for here.
Jin grinned when Hanuel switched and started speaking in Korean; while he had been born in Korea, Jin's parents had moved to the UK not long after he was born, but they had made sure to teach him the native language as well as English. That way, when they visited the family back in Korea, he would be able to talk to them as well. So, he spoke it as well with Hanuel. "It is. The parents and I usually make a trip to Korea at least once a year to visit family we have there. Father and mother are planning on going for the Christmas holidays, but I don't know if I wanna go. I may wind up staying here," he said with a nonchalant shrug.
Jin had been looking down at his shirt, meddling with a string on the bottom hem when he heard Hanuel asking about him making Quidditch captain this year. Hearing the jealousy, the Slytherin lifted his head and looked at the Gryffindor, tilting his head a little. "I did. Why? You jealous?" he asked, a teasing smirk curling the corner of his lips.

Jin was doing a wonderful job of getting Hanuel worked up, unsurprisingly. The competitive, ambitious young Gryfindor had been hoping to be named Quidditch captain desperately. He felt hot resentment, and a little bit of embarassment bubble up through his body as he got flustered. Hanuel's hair was suddenly a shock of red and pink as he let out a frustrated groan, eyes closing. "Yes, okay? I'm jealous." He admitted with difficulty. "I've busted my ass since I made the team and I wanted the position. It bothers me that I didn't get it." He didn't really want to spill his guts about this and he let out a cynical laugh.
"They probably thought I'd run the team ragged with training sessions... Which... I probably would." He again admitted with difficulty. flopping back on the chair, with a groan. At this point it felt monumentally unfair. But of course, Hanuel was just frustrated. If he had been passed over it was for a good reason, though he'd never admit that. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't be complaining." He said, taking a deep breath, his hair settling back to its natural colour for the first time in a while, as he tried to get his mind off everything.
Hanuel was on a back foot right now, embarrassed. Jin's cool, playful demeanour had thrown him off with just a few simple words. The emotional Gryffindor didn't know what to say. If it had been someone else, someone less attractive, chances are he would have had a witty, biting retort for them but not with Jin. The handsome boy had him driven to distraction, again. "I imagine the Slytherin team is going to have a hard time if they want to slack off this year." he said gently trying to steer the subject away slightly. a blush still adorning his cheeks. "They probably need someone like you to keep them in line if they're gonna beat us."

Jin couldn't help but smirk when he got Hanuel to openly admit that he was jealous of the fact that he'd gotten quidditch captain of Slytherin. The young male felt a huge swell of pride, and that smirk showed it. He didn't want to boast; he really didn't.....not with someone that he actually really liked, but damn if it didn't feel good to have something that the other didn't.
"That's it baby. Let it all out. Let 'em know that you're not happy about it," he said, gently patting Hanuel's knee and giving it a teasing squeeze. He gave his bottom lip a gentle bite as he looked up at Hanuel, his hand still on the other's knee, he having not really found a reason to move it.
'I'm just gonna leave it right there. See if he even notices,' he thought to himself.
As Hanuel apologized and said that he shouldn't be complaining, Jin shook his head. "Don't worry about it. You really shouldn't hold it in. Like I said, just let it all out. Complain all you want. You can even cry if you want," he said, that last part said with a teasing little pout, a wink thrown in for good measure.

Hanuel's hair was blood red, as were his eyes as he looked up furiously at Jin. He wasn't the type to handle taunting well. With all of his prickly pride, seeing the other's smirk lit the fuse on Hanuel, and he let out a noise somewhere between a groan and a growl, he scowled. "Laugh it up." He brooded for a moment, the edge of anger clear in his voice. Hanuel was vain to say the least so seeing the satisfaction that Jin had in having out done him made him feel combative. He had every intention of turning this into a real argument or even a fight, until he felt the other's hand on his thigh, That stopped him in his tracks.
Hanuel looked down at the other young man's hand on his body, he considered what this would look like to the rest of his team, he realised that he didn't care about them almost immediately. He let his eyes close slowly and he sighed, the anger flowing out of him his features softening again, hair and eyes returning to their natural colours, though they contained slight hints of pink that made it hard to hide his embarrassment and blushing attraction. That apparently wasn't meant to last though.
"Oh I can cry?" He snarled. "You expect me to give you the satisfaction, Jin?" Hanuel was used to this sort of treatment and the other wouldn't catch him off guard that easily, even if the hand on his thigh had caught him off guard and thrown him for a loop he wasn't likely to tolerate mockery from anyone. "It's this simple. Captain or not, you're not getting past me, and you're gonna have a hard time staying captain next year if you can't get one point past me." He said doing his best to rearrange his own face into a cocky smirk and look as though he'd recovered emotionally, even if he was far from composed. He slowly moved his own hand to Jin's at first he wanted to pull it off, or slap it but instead his fingers slid between the other boys.

'Fuck.....'
It was the only thought that ran through Jin's mind when he saw the way that Hanuel's hair and eyes turned that hard blood red, and even though the Slytherin was one that didn't scare easily, he wasn't a dumb ass either. He knew when to stop pushing, and seeing that blood red - blood red not Gryffindor red - he knew that it was time to simmer down on his gloating; even his smirk faded. He hadn't realized that Hanuel had a temper that could get this fired up.
In this moment, Jin wasn't even sure what to say to Hanuel; he wasn't afraid of what would happen. He and the Gryffindor had argued before, and it wasn't that he couldn't handle Hanuel; he could do that well enough.
'I definitely wouldn't mind handling him.....' Jin thought to himself, quickly trying to shake that thought off as well as the visuals that were playing in his mind at the moment.......visuals that were far too racy for his own good.
Jin thought that Hanuel had calmed down, but he cringed when he heard that anger in his voice again. But there was a comment that actually struck a nerve for Jin. He pulled his hand away from under Hanuel's and grabbed him by his shirt collar, leaning in close to him, anger raging in his dark eyes......eyes that seemed to have darkened in color with his anger; they looked black instead of their regular dark brown.
"You questioning my skills? How dare you! We'll just see how well you keep me from getting that damned quaffle past you," he hissed through clenched teeth, his heart hammering as his breathing quickened. It was one thing to tease at each other, but that statement had blatantly questioned Jin's skills, and he had worked too damned hard to have his skills questioned. Hell, he wasn't captain of the team for nothing. Letting go of Hanuel's shirt, he turned away, his back to the Gryffindor now.

Hanuel was surprised as Jin gripped his shirt. He shoved the other back. "I was teasing, Jin. Get over yourself." He said hotly. Though honestly the tension between the two of them had his heart racing. He had half a mind to kiss the other in the heat of that moment but he faltered at the thought. Jin was actually angry. and Hanuel hadn't intended that. His hair didn't change colour as such but it took on a much more muted shade, and he slowly looked up with grey eyes. "I'm sorry. I went too far." That momentary huff of anger was out of his voice now and he flopped back into the seat he had found himself in when he saw Jin's approach.
"You're right, and I'm insecure." he admitted with difficulty. "I busted my ass last year and I got passed by. That messes with a guy, Jin. I needed to put on the brovado because it helped me feel better. I know you're an amazing player. Hell you'll probably win the world cup some day." Hanuel believed that was probably true. He just hoped he could keep up. The arrogant Gryffindor had rarely felt so rattled before but the fact his long-time rival was a Quidditch captain and he wasn't made Hanuel actually get so far as questioning himself, which was a weakness. Once he started to second guess he wondered how much of his supposed ability came down to his own overconfidence.
"How about we start this conversation over?" He asked with a slight pleading note in his voice hoping bygones would be bygones now that he had admitted fault. He stood up, approaching Jin from behind, He wanted to put his arms around the other but he couldn't quite find the confidence, so instead he bought his head close to the other's ear and asked. "Please, Jin?"

Jin stumbled back when Hanuel shoved him back, but he caught himself so that he didn't fall over. He felt the anger flowing through him like it was riding through his body on his blood which was pumping faster than it had been. However, as he stood there with his back to Hanuel, he took deep breaths to keep himself from absolutely losing himself to the temper that he hadn't realized he had; he never knew that he could get this angry.
The Slytherin stood and listened as the Gryffindor spoke, using this time to completely calm himself. He took deep, slow, steadying breaths, easing his anger and slowing his heartbeat. Eventually, Jin's anger dissipated, leaving him completely as he heard Hanuel so close to him. As much as he hated being questioned like that, he still couldn't deny that he enjoyed the warmth he felt from Hanuel when the other was so close.
Trusting the other, Jin leaned back, hoping to feel the warmth of Hanuel's chest against his back as he did. "Okay. I'd say starting over is a good idea," he replied softly, a gentle sigh signaling that his anger was completely gone.

Hanuel was pleased. Letting out a sigh of relief he felt the other lean back against him and not really thinking twice he felt his arms wrap around Jin. He knew that this would been seen badly by his team mates. this was fraternising with the enemy. Hanuel totally agreed with that. It wasn't the right thing to do but he was starting to not care. He had been very interested in Jin for a long time. They had played their first school quidditch games together, and the tension had been electric even then. Now it was at its most intense in all these years. He didn't know how to contend with the sort of energy and excitement he felt when he was talking to the other much less when he was in direct physical contact with him.
He listened to the other's deep breaths, his gentle sigh, the release of pressure. Hanuel wanted to kiss the other, and he was a Gryffindor. His confidence was legendary, it was one of the biggest defining points of his house. He took a deep breath looking for some of that lion courage now, and leaned in, biting gently at Jin's slytherin neck, hoping that little gesture would convey what he wanted to the other without any ambiguity. He couldn't deny it anymore. He had to make a move before there was another fight, before he would have to grovel again. That wasn't something Hanuel did lightly and he doubted he would let Jin see that side of him again. He hoped if he made his move now he would never need to again.

Jin was relaxed now, just letting everything go; he just couldn't stay mad. Staying mad didn't do a thing but stress him out and make him feel absolutely horrible. And, had he stayed made at Hanuel, he knew he would feel like a complete and utter asshole later. As much as the Slytherin hated to admit it, he'd come to deeply care for the Gryffindor, and honestly, if it ever came down to choosing sides, he'd choose the side that kept Hanuel with him by his side.
The Slytherin felt the bite to his neck, and it sent electric tingles all through his entire body, causing him to tremble and lean back more into Hanuel. A whisper soft moan slipped between his lips and hit the air in a soft, yet clear, cadence, the empty Quidditch stands making it sound just slightly louder than it actually was. If Hanuel was trying to convey a message, Jin was getting it loud and clear.
Turning in Hanuel's arms, Jin looked up at him, dark eyes staring at the male before him. He reached up, his hand moving to rest against the back of Hanuel's neck, then pulled him in closer, immediately pressing his lips to the other's. It was a deep kiss, letting him feel the softness of Hanuel's lips against his own, his heart racing in his chest. "Beautiful Hanuel....." he murmured against the other's lips, giving his bottom one a teasing nibble.

What was happening. Hanuel could swear he was flying, but his broomstick was back in Gryffindor Tower and his feet were still firmly on the stands as far as he knew. It was just that incredible sensation of finally having this kiss. He never really thought it would actually take place, particularly not after such a nasty argument between the two of them. Did people really literally kiss and make up, or was this something unusual? Hanuel smiled against the other's lips hearing his praise, hearing what Jin had to say about the young Gryffindor's beauty. Hanuel's hand ran down the young serpent's back as he let the kiss stretch on, for what seemed like hours in his mind. until that gentle nibble against his lip bought him back to reality.
The fiercely competitive man felt, possibly for the first time actually at complete peace with Jin. The two had been rivals for so long, even if they had been friends, they had never gotten past the competitive part of their dynamic until just now. That kiss broke the tension like a wave crashing against rocks, it changed things. At least it did for Hanuel. He pulled away long enough to laugh, and to fail to speak as he lost his words, before moving in to kiss Jin again. Doing that felt right, It felt better than stopping him from scoring, or than shaking hands with him at the end of a hard fought match, and as the kiss stretched on, comparisons to quidditch fled the lion's mind.
Finally Hanuel stepped back, and sat down patting the seat beside him. He still didn't know what to say.
