The dark haired youth glanced briefly between the two shops on his left. He had come to Hogsmeade merely with the intent of getting away from Hogwarts for a bit of time. This was his last year attending the great halls of the prestigious school, yet unlike most of his graduating class Ezra was still unsure of what he was going to do for the rest of his life. The career choices seemed to grow fewer and fewer with no real sense of passion towards a particular one. Even thinking about what was ahead formed a headache of sorts in the young man's mind. Sighing, he rubbed at the back of his head as his eyes settled on Honeydukes. It had been some time since he stepped foot in the shop; years if he were being honest with himself.
Ezra saw no point in trying to go to a candy shop when he could put ingredients together and created whatever candy he wanted. Did he really want to go through all the trouble today of gathering the exact herbs and spices just to make something? It wasn't really a hard task - simply one that was tedious while dealing with all the sour thoughts in his head. That being said, Ezra seemed to make up his mind on the spot. Lowering the hand to the side, he took a deep breath before making his way over to Honeydukes. He paused when reaching the door to the magical shop. The overwhelming scent of sweets poured out from the interior. Were it not for the fact that he rather liked the smell of candy, the dark haired Asian might have been turned away like a Muggle would a candle shop.
Opening the door, the Hufflepuff was greeted with the sight of an array of color. There were so many unique pieces that it was hard to remain focused on one in particular. From a levitating disk-looking dessert to the sight of what Ezra could only describe as living things, he started to question as to why he did not visit this shop often. There was an immediate sense of distraction from the sour thoughts that had been plaguing his mind for over a month now. Instead, his sour thoughts turned to those of inspiration. He knew that the fancier looking sweets were likely beyond what he had in his pocket, but was it possible to recreate such an amazing looking sweet? He was much too enthralled in his own thoughts as he moved further into the shop, rounding around to view even more to even notice how many other customers were in this shop.

Mekhi loved when the students of Hogwarts got their Hogsmeade weekends, for he loved to see their smiling faces and hear their excited chatter. It reminded him of only a few years ago when he was still a student and he and his buddies would make their trips to the village on the weekends to the enjoy the freedom from the stone walls of the castle. The sound of the register as each purchase was made was musical to him as well, even though the money wasn't the reason the Asian male did this. It was the happiness that his sweets brought to others. . . .the bright smiles on their faces as they partook of their sweets whether here in the shop or as they made their way out.
At the moment, Mekhi was kneeled before a sweet little girl, not even eleven if he had to guess and probably one of the children that lived in the village or was, at the very least, here with her parents. After a little soft talking, he found out that it was the latter and that she had gotten separated from them. Most likely from the rush of Hogwarts students. Taking a handkerchief from his pocket, he wiped her tearful eyes and gently wiped the tear stains from her little cheeks. He then scooped her up and lifted her off the floor, giving the little one a bird's eye view of the heads of the students that had now filed into the place.
"There they are! There's mummy and daddy!" the little one squeaked in excitement, pointing to a pair of adults out the shop window who seemed to be searching frantically. Grabbing a lollipop, he handed it to the little one who took it with a grateful smile, and he carried her out to her parents who were so relieved. They thanked him and tried to pay for the sweet he'd given their child, but he told them it was a gift to her and then made his way back into the shop. Scanning the small crowd, he spied a young male - not too much younger than himself - seeming awed by the sweets there in the shop. Making his way over, he watched for a moment before coming close enough to speak without shouting.
"See something you like?" he asked, his tone warm and rich like warm, melted chocolate, his hair changing from the stark red it had been from his inward panic at the lost child to a soft, cotton candy blue hue, his eyes changing to the color of a calm sea.

The sound a another man's voice had the dark haired youth turning his head. Light blue eyes were the first thing to catch his gaze. The color of those eyes alone reminded him of the very first time he had tasted cotton candy. The vivid taste of the sweet, dissolving treat melting around his tongue made the Ezra almost believe that he was a young child once more. The aroma from the various types of candies filling his lungs. He could even hear the distant call of of his father's voice, a sound he often missed during his stay at Hogwarts. Blinking back the fond memories, the student swallowed hard as he tried to get a better look at the owner of such beautiful, alluring colored eyes.
"I suppose you could say that," he answered the other man as he straightened his back a little more. The other man appeared to be Korean. Well, of Korean descent. There was a slight accent that his ears could pick up on but it was difficult to decipher whether this man came from Korea or just from another place. Ezra was sure that he would be able to tell if they switched to Korean, but he wasn't about to do so just yet. Another obvious observation was the hair color. While others would find it strange, the brightness of it reminded Ezra of the anime he watched as a child on the television. Females in the muggle world did not seem to have a problem with having their hair that color but males? Well, from his personal experience most men only seemed to choose between a few shades of color. To go to that extent? yeah, it was only in an anime that he had seen such with his own eyes.
"I have not been to this shop in quite some time." He motioned with his head to a few of the treats to his left. "There are quite a few new pieces here that I've never really seen before. The layout is exquisite."
Ezra could be formal when he wanted to be.
