 It was pouring down with rain whilst Teddy hastily made his way through streets towards the home of Draco Malfoy, his t-shirt already opaque more than white and clinging to his lean yet muscular torso. He had more pressing issues on his mind than the fact that he could possibly be mirroring an image from an adult magazine.
Draco had been right all along… Harry Potter wasn’t the man his parents thought he was.
As he walked towards the front door, his face ashen from what he had just found out, everything that Draco had told him about his godfather swirled around in his head. It had been a little hard to believe because the only time he had seen the heated side of Harry was the odd occasion that he fought with Al. It had been hard to see past Harry the hero to see Harry the jealous prick but he could see it now that he had proof.
Three knocks upon the door.
That was all it took for his new blonde-haired guardian angel to appear at the door and witness his ashen face with stoic features. There were no words that could possibly describe how ashamed he felt for not completely believing Draco’s words sooner.
“Can we talk?”

 Draco stood at one of the huge, floor to ceiling windows of the obscenely large Malfoy Manor and stared out into the stormy night, a flash of lightning illuminating his blue eyes and giving them an eerie, almost haunting appearance for a split second and then darkness again. He lived alone in the huge place which, for the most part, didn't really bother him all that much, but there were times when he would get rather lonely. He thought that was okay considering what he was and the fact that he probably deserved to be lonely after all the shit he'd done.
Something white against the dark approaching his front door suddenly caught the vampire's attention, and he quickly made his way down to the first level so that he could be there when whoever it was got to the door. His wand in hand, he reached the front door just as three knocks resounded through the emptiness of the house. His pale hand reached out and grasped the door handle and turned it, pulling the door open. The wind wafted in an all too familiar scent, and while he didn't have to, he lifted his wand and silent recited the lumos charm, the tip of his wand now emitting a bright light that shone on the young male on his doorstep.
"Teddy..." he breathed out in barely a whisper. The visage before him was one that made him feel hot and flushed even though he was still as cold as the wind and rain outside his door. His ice blue eyes then traveled up to the other's face, and his question began to resonate with him as concern filled his normally cold eyes.
"Of course. Merlin's beard Theodore, get in here before you catch your death of a cold," he said, reaching out and grabbing the soaked male and pulling him inside, a flick of his wand closing the door and lighting the room all at the same time. Sliding his wand into his pocket, he took the cloak wrapped around himself and wrapped it around Teddy, sliding his cold fingers through the younger's dripping wet hair. "Now, what is it? What did you want to talk about?" he asked as he stood before Teddy, rubbing at his arms in an attempt to dry and warm him.

He hadn't heard Draco's initial muttering of his name. It was too low for his ears to pick up. He did however catch Draco ushering him inside, there was too much going on within the boy's head. His chest was aching slightly from the heartache that had been caused by these latest allegations. He found himself closer to Draco than he had ever been before, not minding as the older man not only draped a warm and dry cloak around his shoulders... not noticing that the cloak that was being wrapped around him was embroidered with the Slytherin crest.
If he had foresight it would be a very interesting foreshadow that was going on at this point in time.
A snake wrapping itself around it's victim... slowly tightening it's grip around them until the victim is no more. He didn't care much that the older man had practically wrapped himself around him, in fact it comforted him somewhat. He had lost everything in this world that he had known he could trust; his parents, his grandmother, his godfather...
When walking through the streets, his physical activity kept him warm, but he had stopped moving at the same ferocity now and a shiver rolled down his spine despite Draco's attempts to warm him.
"It's Harry... he's fixing my exams... trying to make me fail so that I'll never become an auror..."
Once they got to the living room he didn't wait for an invitation, he invited himself to flop upon the three seater couch within Draco's living room.
"He's not the man that I thought he was... he's a bully who can't stand to see someone reach a potential that is possibly higher than his own... I should have seen it! I should have seen it sooner and I didn't!"
His gaze turned to Draco, the emotional pain that he was feeling right now.
"Harry did it didn't he? He was the one that killed my mentor.... he killed him to slow down my progress towards becoming an Auror right?"

NOTES: It in fact was not Harry who killed Teddy's previous mentor but Draco... Teddy is simply hurting and putting all the information together to come to the wrong solution

Practically wrapping himself around the young male was pretty much what Draco had done, leading Teddy into the living room where a simple, silent wave of his wand made a warm fire blaze to live in the huge fireplace. He looked at Teddy as he sat down on the couch, icy blue eyes slowly moving over the other's body before moving back to his eyes.
"Fixing your exams?!" he exclaimed in surprise, a look of almost disgust crossing over his features as he made his way over to the couch, sitting down beside the younger. He listened to him, reaching over as he was talking to wipe away some of the water that was trickling down his face from where he'd been caught in the rain.
"I wouldn't say he did it himself; he's too smart to have the blood on his own hands. I would imagine that someone did it for him," he said softly, the lie rolling so easily off his tongue as his gaze stayed on Teddy as his hand fell to rest on Teddy's knee, feeling that the fabric was still wet.
"Let me get you something dry to put on. Wouldn't want you to catch your death of cold in those wet clothes." He stood and headed towards the doorway but stopped and turned to look back at the younger on the couch. "If you wa-.....if you need to, you're more than welcome to stay here. Give yourself time to process all this and not be alone. I'll be here for you, Theodore," he purred as he then disappeared and headed upstairs to his room to get clothes for Teddy to change into. He was also giving himself a moment to breathe, being in the presence of the younger male arousing him and making his thirst rise. However, he was almost hoping that Teddy would be curious enough to maybe even follow him to his room; he wasn't sure why, but it was something he was hoping would happen.

He pulled the cloak that belonged to a school aged Draco tighter around him. He wasn't too sure how he felt about all of this. Numb? Hurt? Angry? Upset? He didn't pay any attention what so ever to the tell tale signs of how Draco felt towards him, listening only to what the man said and the words that his mind was screaming.
He nodded slowly as Draco offered up his home for him. That was the one thing he knew at the moment. He didn't want to be alone. He needed to be around someone who understood what was going on, and since his Grandmother was no longer around to give him pearls of wisdom Draco seemed to be the only option available to him at this point in time.
"I'll take you up on that... thanks..."
It took him a moment for him to realize however that Draco was leaving the room, and when he did he quickly got to his feet and followed him to his room like a lost puppy. He had never faced this sort of betrayal before and was concerned that without someone there... without some sort of guidance that he may do something that he'd regret.
"What do I do now?"

Draco heard the footsteps behind him as he moved through the mansion and upstairs to his bedroom. The room had once been his parents' room, but after they'd been put in St. Mungo's, he'd moved their stuff to his old room and refurbished their room to suit his style and tastes which was rather different than most people thought. The look was modern and sleek, such a contrast to the old, gothic style of the rest of the home. And instead of blacks and other dark colors, there were warm, rich jewel tones of reds, blues, purples, those shades accentuated by tones of gold.
Reaching the end of the hallway, Draco pulled the large, double doors open, revealing the lavish bedroom where he slept. Looking over his shoulder, he beckoned Teddy through the doors with him. Walking over to the dresser, he pulled one of the drawers open and pulled out a pair of soft cotton lounge pants in a shade of charcoal gray, a long sleeved t-shirt a couple shades darker coming out next. Closing the drawer, he turned and offered the warm, dry clothes to Teddy.
"Here. Put these on. I'll have the wet clothes you have on taken care of," he told him, swallowing a little as he tried to keep himself under control. The young male was looking absolutely delicious to him, and it was getting harder and harder for him to keep his hands and his fangs off him. Hearing the other's question, Draco looked him in the eyes. "If I were you Theodore, I wouldn't be comfortable working in the same place as the person who betrayed me like that. I, personally, would resign, but that's me. Ultimately, the decision is up to you, but I will back your decision one hundred percent."

As he entered the room thoughts about the betrayal he had suffered seemed to ebb away a little as he looked about the room. He had known that Draco was a member of the upper class. One could tell that simply from the size of the manner that Draco lived in, but he had never imagined so much wealth to sit within one room.
He had no shame at this point in time, so he didn't even care that Draco was still in the room as he changed out of his wet clothing which included his underpants. The lounge pants were the first item of clothing to go on, and Draco's response to his question caused him to pause for a moment; leaving him standing there shirtless within the room.
"The only thing is... I've always wanted to be an auror... it's the only thing I thought that I would be good at... if I were to resign I don't know what else I could do for work... fighting and catching dark wizards are in my blood Draco..."

Draco's silvery blue eyes never left Teddy, even as he changed his clothes, his breath catching in his throat when the other stripped down completely, the vampire's gaze quickly drinking in details of the younger's body before the lounge pants were pulled on. While that lovely part of Teddy was taken from Draco's sight, those lovely abs were still in view, and he couldn't help but run his tongue over his lips just a little, making it look like he was simply wetting dry lips instead of oogling the body before him.
"I understand that; trust me, I understand. As I said, it's what I would do, but ultimately, this decision is up to you, and I will back whatever decision you make," he told Teddy as he stepped closer to him. Close enough to reach out and gently push the hair back from the younger's face, letting his fingertips lightly brush against Teddy's cheek before his hand came to rest on the other's still bare shoulder. "Would you like a drink? It'll help you warm up," he offered warmly, nodding to the small side table near the window that overlooked the grounds of the estate.

This was a difficult time for the young man. There was only one person that he felt that he could trust. One person who he felt would be there for him regardless of what happened. One thing was for sure though... his Godfather couldn't be trusted any more.
The entire situation left the young man rather conflicted. Should he stay or should he go now? Should he stay and try to reveal his godfather from within his own department? Or should he leave the department... and the Ministry for Magic all together and try to expose his antics from the outside?
Lucily however Draco provided him with a distraction... however brief it may be. He nodded softly, moving towards the window... and the awaiting liquor. His life had changed forever today but it was unclear as to whether this change was positive or negative.
He poured his own liquor, slowly lifting the glass of fire whisky to his lips before tipping it down his throat. He was in a fragile state, but he was unable to acknowledge that little fact.

Draco could tell that Teddy was conflicted; he could almost feel the sheer amount of conflict as he watched Teddy step over to the little side table near the window and pour himself a drink. He watched as Teddy drank down the fire whiskey. Taking a deep breath, Draco stepped forward, walking up behind Teddy. He lifted his hands and placed them on his shoulders, beginning to massage and rub at the soft skin, enjoying the warmth beneath his hands.
"You're so tense, Teddy," he observed out loud as his hands moved down Teddy's back then back up to his shoulders. He then leaned in close to the other's ear, his lips ghosting lightly against his ear as he spoke. "Relax. I'm right here and nothing will bother you here that you don't want to deal with."
Draco continued rubbing Teddy's shoulders and back, hoping to help him relax more. Breaking the contact for just a moment, the vampire turned towards the fireplace in the bedroom. He extended his hand towards it, and with an unspoken spell, he started a fire to warm the room and to further help Teddy warm up from where he'd been soaked to the bone in the rain. His attentions then immediately returned to Teddy, his arms sliding around his waist and holding him close. "I know you don't want to, but you need to get out of the Ministry. Look at what it's doing to you....how it's stressing you out. This cannot be good for you," he said, his voice steady and even.

i never told a lie, and that makes me a liar. ❝ To some, the way that Draco was touching Teddy would have been inappropriate and unwanted. But in the case of Teddy, it was just a bit different. He felt distraught and betrayed. A man that his parents had entrusted to raise and guide him in their absence had effectively stabbed him and his parents in the back, he didn’t know who he could trust… well besides Draco who was the one who opened his eyes to the issue at hand. He welcomed the touch, although not in the way that Draco was probably intending him to welcome it. He welcomed it as a more reassuring way, than a romantic gesture. It was the feeling of lips brushing against his ear that confused him more than anything else though. Was there really a need to touch him as he spoke? The word however did kind of carve its way into his skin though. It was a fair point, he probably should leave with all this controversy that was going on within the wizarding government. “What if I can’t though? I’ve spent my whole time at Hogwarts preparing to follow in my mother’s footsteps by becoming an auror… by using my skills in Defense Against the Dark Arts to help people… who’s going to hire someone like me? Why would they hire someone who had the opportunity to achieve their dream and let it slip through their fingers…”He sighed, resting his head against both of his hands whilst his elbows sat on his knees.
