As a student Berk had never needed to come here. He had never been sent to get a teacher or ask a question during breaks, free periods or before or after school hours. Well not one that couldn't wait until he saw the Professor in class or during meals.
It was a nice room though mismatched but Hogwarts was not known for having everything match. It added to its charm. He wondered if the Professor has specific chairs they claimed or it was first in best serviced. He there was a comfy looking armchair that faced the door that he wouldn't mind taking up, that is if wasn't already called for. He was going to have look into that.
There was a coffee table in front of it and on it sat a copy of the Daily Prophet. Heading over he saw that it was todays and took a seat. He preferred the Quibbler personally, not because it was better or anything, he just found it more amusing, but the Prophet would have to do.

In the beginning, Ginny had found it somewhat strange to be able to walk straight into the staffroom without being questioned, without having to knock and wait, without having a good excuse to be there. There had been a time, she recalled, when her brothers had managed to convince her that the staffroom was carpeted in rubies and had huge stacks of sweets along every wall. That had been when she was young and innocent and everything had been new and wondrous to her. Before she had come to Hogwarts and discovered that actually, the staffroom contained nothing but a few chairs and a coffee table, that there was a monster dwelling under the school, that Tom Riddle wasn't so friendly after all. The redhead smiled pensively as she pushed open the door, nodding to the man who already occupied the room as she made her way to a chair. How things changed. Ginny noted that the sole copy of the Prophet was occupied and sighed inwardly. Now she had no excuse for not getting a move on with the huge stack of papers to be marked which had floated into the room behind her.
