 This was it. The start of a new life... of sorts. Nothing could change the fact that he was the son of a Harry James Potter, but at least he could now have his own adventures... now he could make his own name. On the ride to the train his brother's teasing about being sorted sunk into him. It wasn't betraying the family name that he was upset about being sorted into the house that had produced the most dark wizards. It was how people would view him for being in that house that concerned him the most. How could he make friends who would accept him for him if they were judging him by the house that he belonged within. His father put him at ease however so all that was left for now was to say his farewells before he left this world that had been known as his own personal hell.
"So Sis... you're not going to cry while I'm gone are you?"

As far as Lily was concerned she was ready for her brothers to go off to Hogwarts. But what she was ready to go to Hogwarts herself. She wondered if she would be in gryffindor like James or slytherin like Albus. That morning she watched her brothers pack. It was a somber moment for her but she knew her time would come soon. Her thoughts however were interrupted by Albus's words. She looked at her brother and smiled gently towards him. He had asked her if she would cry. A smirk spread across her face. Sure the last few years have been hard with James away. But now that it was just her at home she was going to take full advantage of it. "No I am not gonna cry. I mean would you? I get to be home alone with mom and dad!" Lily smiled gently and then realised she was probably being inconsiderate. She should be a little more upset that her brother was headed into his first year. Lily looked at her brother and then spoke. "I mean I am going to miss you and James. You the most because its your first year. I hope you have a blast. But you better write me!"
