ACTIVITY CHECK
Professors are now required to post at least ONE class a term that is relevant to their subject. These classes are another way that you can earn house points to help your house win the house cup, noting the distribution of house points is at the Professor's discretion. You can find the classes that currently exist below.
HOUSE POINTS
There are many House points that have been unclaimed. Make sure to post in the open thread list when you both start an open thread and respond to open threads! This can earn 5 house points for the house your character is in/from. Also, given we are past the two month mark, you will automatically receive 5 house points for threading with new members in their first month with us here on Red Flag, so if you want to earn the house cup for your characters don't forget to start claiming those points!
JOBS AND ENLISTMENT FOR STUDENTS
As staff we have decided to allow students to hold part time jobs WITHIN the magical world. So what does this mean? If you have a character that is fifteen or older they can hold an unskilled job within the wizarding world. If the job is within Hogsmeade, students would be allowed to work during a Hogsmeade weekend as well as term breaks, if not they would only be allowed to work during the term breaks (Christmas/new year break, Easter break, and summer break).
Any character who is 17 years of age or older are allowed to enlist within the armies.
How this will work is for any new character from here on out that has a part time job and/or has enlisted within an army, you simply list it within their application alongside what school year they are in. If you have a character that is already made that you think would hold a part time job and/or have enlisted within an army all you need to do is PM either Kimmie or myself and we will update their profile and the job list with their information.

It's that time of month again guys... Of the month voting is up! You have until December 4th to vote in the polls which can be found here! (and yes, they should be working properly now). If you have posted within the month, but DID NOT win that category last month you should have qualified for the category.

Real life has hit one of our staffers hard and it is with great sadness that I announce that Tay has decided to step down from being a member of staff here at Red Flag. She will still be here with us as a member though with a reduced number of characters!
SITE EVENTS
We officially have two site events going! The first event takes place at the beginning of December as the Werewolves have sabotaged young Lambert Greyback's potion in order to attack St.Mungo's. This event has the potential to become the site's first battle of the war so make sure that if you have an adult who would be able to take part in this event to join in! The more the merrier! This event can be found here!
The students also have an event going on! With the students returning from christmas holidays, and following the recent reminder that a war has started, the school has decided to throw a dance in an attempt to distract the students who would have been affected by the St.Mungo's attack. This dance is open to ALL years and professors will be playing the role of chaperones. The thread is set in early to mid January and can be found here!
Do make sure to participate because for each new character that posts in the event, they earn 10 points for their current or former house!
