The half-giant was home schooled, he wasn't locked inside at all times, but his father wasn't fond of his leaving the house too often. While he wasn't a secret, he was a mistake, and his father seemed to believe that keeping him sequestered away would somehow minimise the impact of his fling with a half-giant nearly two decades earlier. That's why Levi treasured getting out of the house, it meant a lot to the strong, handsome young man just to walk down Diagon Alley. The Wizarding street wasn't full of people his own age this time of year. His peers would be at Hogwarts, where he should have been, where he would have nearly been finished, if his father hadn't pulled him away from the school. Just being around other wizards, and witches meant a lot to the half-giant, after feeling isolated for a long time.
His handsome face bobbed well above the average height of the masses around him and he drew many stares. people knew what he was, even if they didn't know who he was. The circumstances of his birth were written in his looming height. It didn't bother him in the least. He had learned long ago to own it, and to look at it for the gifts it had given him. Giants were resilient against magic, and his great height had allowed him to pass for an adult even in his early adolescence. A talent he had used many times, sometimes to drink, sometimes simply to enjoy greater respect and attention from those around him.
He had to stoop as he entered the clothing store. looking about. This was one of the places that Hayden had frequented the most in Diagon Alley. He had always been prone to growth spurts and he had inherited his father's love of proper presentation, always making sure his clothing fit him, and suited him well when he was out and about. He offered the shop assistant, a woman who hadn't seen him before a smile, and a small laugh as she gasped audibly at the height of him. He knew she was wondering if they could properly outfit him and of course they could. The shop's owner was presumably occupied with someone else.
For the moment Levi entertained himself by looking around the various richly coloured fabrics and articles of clothing. Mostly there were robes of all different sizes, and materials, Levi wasn't after anything extravagant, but there were some truly beautiful, and truly bizarre items here.

Why did he have to go to his cousin's wedding? Every time that they had met as children they would fight. Heck, if they could have dueled to the death as children they would have. Besides, if the shoe were on the other foot his cousin never would attend his wedding... yet here he was, forced to stand upon a platform whilst a witch poked and prodded him with sharp pointy needles or face the wrath of his darling mother.
The bell tinkled as a man entered, forced to duck or he would otherwise hit his head upon the frame. There was something... peculiar... about this man but he couldn't quite seem to be able to place a finger upon what exactly it was that drew his attention to him. Was it his height, or was it something else altogether?
Whilst the man went about his business, Hayden continued to follow him with his eyes. Perhaps this was instinct warning him that something fishy was going on... or perhaps this was the beginning of a spark...

Levi noticed eyes on him. This was not only nothing new but, but it was past the point of even being tedious, or flattering anymore. It was constant and usually he would barely pay someone staring at him any mind. But occasionally it was someone interesting themselves. Right now he was face to - well not quite face to face with a handsome guy. Levi had managed to socialise enough to learn a little bit about himself - namely that he was gay, and that he had a certain type. This cute brunette was definitely within that type, even if it seemed he'd never seen a half-giant before. There didn't seem to be malice in the way he looked at Levi.
One perk of being a half-giant other than reaching thee top shelf in stores easily, was that it was a great conversation starter when you found the right people. "I'm a half-giant." Levi said gently to the other as he noticed his eyes were still on him. "Don't worry I'm used to staring." With that he approached the other and offered a handshake. "I'm Levi." He would do his father the courtesy of not immediately mentioning his name.

He couldn't quite piece it together just yet, but that smile was amazing... intoxicating... it inspired one of his own. A grin from ear to ear. He wasn't too sure why he was responding in such a way, but he welcomed it after the harsh reality that had been his childhood. As the other wizard held out his hand, he did the same, giving it a firm yet relaxed shake.
"Hayden. Nice to meet you."
He found his eyes moving up and down the giant's body, checking him out. He had in the passed noticed similar behaviour in himself, but he had never actually experienced anything physical with neither man nor woman, although his parents had tried numerous times to arrange a marriage for him he had no takers.
"So are you from around here?"
