Xavier had not been sure what to make of the letter that he had gotten. He logically knew what a secret admirer was, the thing he didn't know was why they were writing to him. He didn't really interact with people enough to know who might have sent it. Maybe it was a prank of some sort though he was still pretty curious either way. He mauled things over and had even "asked" Paddington, the teddy bear that he had on his bed for advice, mostly for a lark. Nate Schultz had overheard him though and had offered his advice as well as promising that if this was a bullying thing he would see that justice was done.
Convinced somewhat, it was enough for him to go down to Hogsmeade at the time that they were allowed to go. He had quickly found that cloaks made him more comfortable when the sun was still out even though it kind of made him feel like a fairy tale character. Then again, he didn't mind that. He liked fairy tales.
Stepping into the spot he had been told to come, he lowered his cloaks hood and looked around. The green-eyed brunette couldn't see anyone he recognized from school looking like they were expecting him. He did scent something though - vampire - and he was immediately wary.

Emillian had gotten a note of a new unguided fletching being spotted in Hogsmaede. Usually they had recruiters for this job but the new vampire was said to be wary and afraid of other vampires. The other generals wanted him to go as he was ancient and still young himself. He had to check upon the young one and see if he could convince him to join the army. What he read in the rapport, Emillian doubted the second would happen. But he considered it important that a young vampire got the proper guidance to prevent killing sprees. Usually Emi only guided the ones he turned himself. But it had been over 50 years since he last turned someone. This was no ideal life and he wouldn't force it on anyone. Luring the young vampire out was quite the task. He couldn't enter the school he went to, so he tried to get him to Hogsmaede. In his time notes of secret admirers were considered romantic and exciting. However lately it could be seen as weird and creepy. It was a huge gamble but the ancient vampire went to the town. He waited wither the vampire came or not. His long hair was tied in a red ribbon and he wore his favorite lace shirt. He'd bought a single red rose and a blood lolipop that looked like your regular strawberry one. If the boy wouldn't show up, he could always explore the sceneries. It didn't take long or he caught the scent of another vampire, Emi smiled to himself. He'd come. He had no clue what kind of person it was or how this conversation would go. It was worth trying would he fail, another vampire could always try later. For now Emi put the army at a secondary place. He just wanted to make sure that the young one was safe to his surroundings. His light brown eyes followed the direction of the scent. There he saw a young man looking around him. That should be him. Such beautiful green eyes, was the first thing the writer thought. Who knew, perhaps he could draw inspiration from this meeting. With a gentle smile he approached the younger yet taller male. (Once Emil would be considered tall but times passed and people grew taller than ever before.) "Xavier," the dark headed vampire called out when he stood behind him. His hand gently touched the Hufflepuff's sleeve. His eyes widened a little when he saw the boy's face. There glowed something inside his cold body in a way it hadn't done so for centuries. He couldn't deny the beauty of this one. Whoever turned this boy had made a good pick. Such a waste to leave this one alone. What kind of sire would do that? "It's me, from the letter," he started carefully. Was he going for the timid school girl act? Fine, see if that worked. "I'm sorry you don't know me and possibly think I am some kind of weirdo," he chuckled nervously (through the years he'd become quite the actor, although for some reason he felt nervous for real). "I'm Emi, it's good to see you up close. N-nice to meet you," he smiled and studied the other's reaction. xavier gladstone

Xavier had been prepared to flee even before the other vampire made his presence known. He didn't know them and he didn't think he had seen them around school. Then again, he had always been the shy sort despite being friendly so it was quite possible that Xavier had just never known about him before. The other vampire touched his sleeve and Xavier flinched back from the contact, fearful of the other despite their smaller height. Then again, Xavier wasn't exactly tall himself.
His eyes traveled over the others face, not sure what to expect from this meeting. He had already kind of figured that the other person was the one who had sent him the letter. So far, there didn't seem to be anything to fear her and if the letter was to be believed, this person had a crush of some sort on him? He still couldn't see why but it would be rude not to hear him out, wouldn't it?
"I don't," Xavier murmured quietly when the other vampire said that Xav could possibly think that he was some kind of weirdo. Emi. He definitely didn't think he had ever met Emi before or even seen him around. He was usually lost in his own world whenever he was in the greenhouses - or doing anything, really - so it wasn't a stretch of the imagination to believe that Emi had seen him from afar. Xavier had always been naive and overly trusting, part of what had led him to his current condition. "Nice to meet you, too," he said, as quiet as before. "Which house are you in? I think I'd have known you if you were in Hufflepuff." Especially since they looked about the same age.

This was going well? He supposed as the new vampire hadn't tried to flee yet. He did seem uncomfortable so he probably knew what he was. The scent of fear gave it away. Still for a new vampire to notice other vampires so easily... For a young one he seemed talented. Emillian was starting to get mixed feelings about this meeting. He was torn between meeting this boy as an official general or as a person. Odd enough he found some interest within this young one. "I'm glad to hear that," he chuckled softly with his hand in front of his mouth. "I brought you something. Figured if maybe I was a disappointment to you, coming here wasn't for nothing," he said as he handed the rose and lollipop. What a nice fellow, truly different from all the other vampires he'd met. Somehow Emi wanted Xavier to like him. Which was odd because the ancient vampire was never concerned with the opinions of others. Heck he even felt the need to protect this one. So far what he met was a still very human vampire. Someone kind and someone who easily trusted. Else this boy wouldn't have come here. Which were qualities that got one killed. But also qualities Emillian admired. "Actually I don't go to the school you're at. I'm without magic, you see," he told the other. This was no lie. Him being without magic is what made his parents sell him to vampires anyways. But even without the magic he'd outlived all those vampires who could carry a wand. Magic made one reckless. " Shall we go for a walk? There is this really beautiful scenery not to far away from here. Or we can somewhere else. Anywhere you want. It's your night and I want you to feel at ease," he proposed with a soft smile. tag: xavier gladstone

Xavier tilted his head to the side slightly in curiosity when Emi said that he had brought him something. Well, he couldn't honestly say that this was a disappointment, he just didn't know what to do here. He had never been in this sort of situation before. Even so, he accepted the rose and lollipop, things he both liked. "I grow flowers like this one in the greenhouses," he mused though he supposed the other vampire probably knew that since he did little else since being turned.
Xav listened as Emi said that he was without magic. Far as he knew muggles weren't about to get into Hogsmeade which meant the other boy had to be a squib. Not that it mattered much to Xavier aside from more confusion as to how he had come to be under Emi's radar. "I don't know," he murmured warily. Last time he'd gone on a walk with someone, he'd become what he was. Or so he was assuming. He couldn't remember the details of the day before, during and after the time he had become a vampire other than the fact that a lot of dirt had been involved.
"What sort of scenery?" If it was a garden of some sort then maybe he would go.

Emillian was glad the flower and candy were accepted. He blinked up when Xavier told him he grew flowers at greenhouses. "You grow flowers?" Light brown dead eyes shone with life for a second. "I love flowers, they're beautiful and carry so many value in both emotion and power." There were only a few things in this eternal life that could make him feel again. In his novels he always wrote about the fields of flowers, their appearances and scent. In eternal life there were only a few things that truly stuck with someone. "A shame I cannot access the castle grounds. I would have loved seeing them," he said with a soft smile as he looked from the rose to the boy holding it. For a moment he'd forgotten why he was send here. He just loved talking about the beauty of flowers with someone for once. Emi noticed the hesitation and nodded. "You're scared which is understandable. Good even, you can't trust strangers," he reasoned with a nod. The ancient vampire leaned against a streetlight it wasn't on yet but it would only take a few more hours. "Perhaps not then, we can talk here if you prefer that." If the boy was at ease, hopefully he'd talk easier. "The scenery is a field of wild flowers reaching till the horizon. There is an abyss with a fence shielding it. We can look down upon it. I often draw inspiration from said view," he told the other. tag: xavier gladstone

Xavier nodded shyly, his fingers nervously fidgeting with the stem of the rose. "Flowers have a language too. I have a whole bunch of books about it. Some meant love, some meat think of me, things like that," he said, a lot more clearer and louder than he had been speaking so far. "Well, maybe someday you could. I won't be keeping them in the greenhouses forever." Xav was oblivious to the fact that he had implied that he wasn't adverse to another meeting.
He did find the other boys words confusing. He sounded so... well, not fifteen anyway. He had been about to agree that they stay right where they were but his attention was caught by Emi's other words. "Really? I thought I knew all the places like that around here but that doesn't sound familiar," Xavier mused.

If Emil had a heart beat, it'd have skipped one right now. His hands gently wrapped around Xavier's, not pressing too hard or he'd impale the boy's fingers on the thrones. "You sound like a man of culture. You're even more promising that I thought," he spoke with hope and kissed the other boy's hands. Something he couldn't resist. He was really glad to be send right now. Who knew did this boy own some of his old works, he'd written about flowers and other things found in nature before on his traveling guide. That'd be funny. "I'd love that," the school girl act no longer was an act but reality. How did one simple new vampire managed to charm the ancient Emilian Sorin Drăculești? It were the flowers, it were definitely the flowers. Sure Emil had taken interest in him earlier but now he wanted him. "Could you promise me that? That one day you'll show me your beautiful flowers?" He nodded at the younger vampire. "There is, it is only a little walk. I don't think students are allowed to come there," he explained why he thought might have been the reason Xavier never saw it. Emil took a step into the direction of the scenery and extended his hand out to the younger male. A breeze of wind made his hair dangle around his face. "May I escort you to the field, Xavier?" tag: xavier gladstone

Xavier looked at Emi as the other vampires hands wrapped around his own. Cold, like his own were now and always would be but he didn't mind it. He chuckled at being called a man of culture since he thought that he was far from the sort. "Promising?" He inquired, wondering what Emi meant by that and his skin did a pale imitation of a blush when his hands were kissed. Promising because he knew the language of flowers?
Xavier smiled as Emi said that he'd loved to see the flowers that he had grown. "Of course. I never go back on my word," Xavier promised earnestly. His earlier wariness and fear had just about vanished entirely by now. Xavier's natural tendency towards easily trusting people very much coming into play once more.
Oh, that explained things and he was somewhat unsure if it would be breaking rules. Then again, the promise of a field of wild flowers that he had never seen before was very alluring. Emi made it even more tempting somehow, Xavier wasn't entirely sure why but he felt that if he was going to find those wildflowers, he wanted it to be with Emi. "I would love that," he said as he accepted the other vampires hand.

Emi was glad that Xav didn't flinch when their hands touched. For a boy that was described to be afraid of vampires, he was accepting an awful lot from him. For which Emillian was grateful. Even though this meeting didn't go as he was ordered to let it go, he was glad for this taking place. Besides he could probably get away with it this one time. He was one of the generals after all and had never messed up before. Xavier was quite something, not only a good inspiration for his books. But also the first person in years that'd managed to draw him in in such a short time. "Promise me you'll show me your flowers, silly," he chuckled, feeling the strong urge to pet the other's head like a teddy bear. "Thank you, you're so kind," he smiled for real this one time in centuries. "I'm looking forward to that day." Luckily for vampires time flew by quickly. At least for old ones like him. He could only imagine the doubt and insecurity Xavier was going through every day. Hopefully he could be there for this boy. Emil regretted not having anyone to guide him when he was turned. Xavier accepted his hand and for a moment he could feel that teenage excitement again. Emillian was both an old man and a teenager. Lately he had been more of the old man but tonight, he'd say screw the vampire army. It could always come later. There was no hurry in the life that lasted forever. Though moments like this counted. Emillian pulled the other in and spun him around as he guided him through the streets to the more deserted part of the village. The walk was like that of in a musical. The only thing missing was the background music and singing people. He sometimes stopped to look behind him and smile at the young vampire. They walked until they reached small piece near the forest. He lead Xavier to the fence and showed him the view. "April is a nice time of the year for nature," he whispered as he stared into the distance. Tag: xavier gladstone note: their view 1 their view 2

Apparently the way to win Xaviers trust was to promise to show him a bunch of flowers. Probably not the best quality for a young vampire to have. Or anyone, really. "Oh. I will," he assured, repeating his promise twice ensuring that he would do his best to make it a reality.
"I try to be," he said with a smile when Emi said that he was kind. He didn't see any reason to waste one's energy by being needlessly unpleasant to people. Life went so much easier when you were kind. Then again, that was probably what had gotten him into trouble in the first place. He didn't know since he couldn't recall what had happened.
Xavier laughed, the sound practically lyrical, when Emi spun him around, their journey making him think of some of the movies he'd watch when he wasn't at Hogwarts. Emi had a very nice smile was a thought that crossed Xavier's thoughts. "Oh I know, it's my favorite month. And May. Rain and florals are two of my favorite scents and spring tends to smell of them." Falling silent, he took in the sight before him, fingers itching for a piece of charcoal and paper. "It's beautiful. Is it safe to go down among them?" The fence was there for a reason probably but they were also vampires. He didn't know what their limits were.

"Just try not to get yourself hurt through your kindness," Emi advised the younger vampire with a soft smile. Being kind was an admirable trait. Sadly Emillian saw those kind people getting hurt through their good acts. People abused kindness all to eagerly. Even if Xavier wouldn't want him to watch over, Emil would for the young one's sake. But more in the distance. Xavier's laugh was music to his ears. Vampires laughed rarely out of anything but sadism these days. He'd forgotten how beautiful true laughter could be. Their walk felt like a scene from a fairy tale, the ancient vampire took in every detail of this moment. The sound of their steps, the colours surrounding them and the presence of the new vampire. When they arrived, the scenery was even more gorgeous than he remembered. Or perhaps that was just because he saw true colours once again. "Sights like those are what makes this life worth living," he whispered in a dreamy manner. Emillian closed his eyes and tried to get his lungs to breath. It had been a while since he took a nice breath. Vampires didn't need it and he often forgot to. But the smell filled his nose and he just wanted to take it all in. The young yet old man blinked up as the other spoke. "Down there? To tell you the truth, I have never been there before. I was always afraid I'd step on the flowers. Life is beautiful but so fickle," he told Xavier. "Would you dare to make the jump?" Emillian had jumped of buildings without flinching, vampires were stronger and more flexible and accurate. Which made such matters easier. tag: xavier gladstone

Xavier wasn't sure what Emi's advice meant but he still nodded. Emi seemed to know what he was talking about and considering he knew Emi was a vampire he wondered just how long Emi had been a vampire. Xav belatedly realized that he was going to also be stuck looking like he did forever.
"Agreed, this is beautiful," he said in repeat of his earlier words as his eyes drank in the sight before him. He watched curiously as Emi closed his eyes. Xavier was still breathing, mostly instinct by this point. And he still panicked if he forgot to before remembering he didn't need to. Even so, not breathing instantly put his mind into waking up buried and the terror he had felt. Realizing that he was remembering something, he frowned and touched his head for a moment before shaking it off.
"I would if you come with me," he said with a bright smile, impulsively reaching out to grab the other vampires hand and giving it a little tug. He wanted to remind himself that he was alive. Not fully alive, no, but a form of it. tag: @emi

"Hmmm...." He hummed when the other agreed with the beauty of the scene. When Emillian opened his eyes he saw Xavier touching his forehead. "Are you alright, Xavier?" The older vampire asked in worry. Did he have a headache? When a vampire had a headache it could only mean a few things none of those were really good. He assumed they both knew of each other what they were. So it was okay to ask. "When is the last time you've fed?" Light brown eyes gazed over the boy and he leaned in to touch his forehead. "If you want, I could show you the only shop in the town that sells blood. They don't have it in the vitrine but you could ask for it. Both human and animal. That way you don't have to feed of living beings," he whispered carefully so nobody could hear them. Emillian paused and thought before he turned back to the green eyed vampire. "I am not the one who made you. But I can be the one to guide you and help you. Most young ones without a sire don't live very long. They get caught, go on killing sprees-" he broke his own words before he could say more terrible things. He didn't want the other to worry. "I want to protect you from those things. And help you see the good and beautiful things in this kind of life." The first eighty years were the hardest because you still had ties to your human friends and family. He wanted to help Xavier through it. Emi broke the seriousness with a smile. "Just think about it, I don't need an answer right away. For now let's explore the flower fields and their grace." Xavier's bright smile was as beautiful as the flower fields. What a perfect night. "I will, oh!" A small unmanly squeal escaped his pink lips as his hand was tugged. His eyes shimmered in the twilight sky. "Let's go." xavier gladstone

Xavier hesitated, not sure how much to share or if it was normal for vampires to have forgotten things like he had. Xav shrugged. "I avoid doing so when I can but drink enough to hopefully avoid a spree. But I make sure to try and not be around people too much, too." Which had not been much of a change from what he'd usually done when he'd been fully human.
Xav immediately nodded when Emi offered to show him a shop, wanting to find this place where he could get a good amount without having to hurt anything. It already tormented him that he sometimes had to kill animals to live. He continued to listen as Emi offered to guide and help him. Well, he had almost instinctively trusted the other vampire.
"All right, I will," Xavier said when Emi told him to think about it. For now, he wanted to go down into this new place that Emi had shown him. He chuckled a little at the squeal before jumping down, not sure what would happen and still being surprised when he landed on the ground and felt just fine. "My senses are so much sharper as a vampire," he murmured as he impulsively laid out on his stomach so that he was practically buried in flowers. They all smelled so nice though he was keenly aware that he could also hear the worms under the dirt moving. Ugh. @emi
