Dolores was in an excellent mood. All was going swimmingly, her staff were finally knuckling down and doing their jobs the way that they ought to be done and, all in all, she felt that things really could not be better. She sat behind her desk in a dead upright position, smiling sweetly at all those who entered and occasionally bending her head to fill in a little more of the extensive paperwork which lay on the wooden surface before her. This was what she had always been aiming for. All those years spent in the mindless tedium of work as a Senior Undersecretary to that odious little man in his repulsive bowler hat, they had all been leading up to this and now that she had finally achieved her goal... well, she couldn't say that it had all been worth it. Nothing would be worth the torture that it had been working under Cornelius Fudge, but this was as close as anything was going to get. She was the Minister. She was in charge. This was as good as it got. And it was everything that she could ever have wanted.
The room was silent save for the chink of silver on china as the woman slowly stirred a little sugar into her tea. She had never taken too much sugar; she had heard that it could make one fat and, blessed with a figure such as hers, she certainly had no intention of spoiling it. Raising the cup to her lips, she took a sip, closed her eyes for a moment in blissful contemplation and then dropped a little more sugar into the cup. She was the Minister for Magic; she thought she could allow herself a little sugar. Dolores glanced up at the sound of a tap on the door and frowned. She had expected no visitors. "Enter!" she called sweetly.

Stealthy, sometimes being stealthy was what was required and especially when you worked for a newspaper and you were trying to see the Minister of Magic. Wes had to be particularly stealthy because he was pretty sure that the Minister had barred him from the building and interviewing her.
Their first meeting had not gone well. He was knew to England, the Prophet and the way things were done and he had come in and hadn’t taken any of that into consideration. He went in like a niffler in a jewelry shop and it naturally did not go well. Since then he had let his other reporters handle the Ministry no matter how badly he wanted to be on ground. Unfortunately he didn’t think much of his reporters skills and what happens at the Ministry was what sold papers that and Quidditch.
He had been lucky so far and had made it to the First Floor and had made it where the Minister was housed. Her support staff was too busy working to pay much attention to him and so he approached the door. He tapped and was surprised to hear her ask him to enter. So he did.
“Hello Minister, I was wondering if you would like to have a little chat..”

Security was of the utmost importance to Dolores. There was a world full of monsters out there; part-humans and almost-humans and not-at-all-humans, and they were angry, and they were on the move. Of course, this was to be expected when there was finally a Minister with a firm hand on the helm. She had anticipated this. But that did not necessarily mean that she liked it. On the contrary, it worried her greatly and since the Ministry was currently, in a sense, the operational headquarters of a vast army, no laxity in their defences could be allowed. No spies could enter their ranks, no assassins, no one whose loyalty might ever come into the slightest doubt. Already, she had had to fire one long-serving member of staff for his allegiances, and if she had had her way, he would never have walked out of the Ministry doors. Unfortunately, life did not always go as it should. Dolores was old enough to understand that but again, it didn't mean that she had to like it.
And yet here she sat in her own office, the Minister for Magic in one of the most important buildings in wizarding Britain, and she was looking across her desk at a man who did not work for her, had not been invited and was not at all welcome. Dolores loathed reporters- that Skeeter woman had done her level best to get both her and Cornelius into quite a spot of bother- and she had given quite firm instructions to her front desk staff that no such people were to be allowed access to her in any circumstances unless they had an appointment. So she was somewhat at a loss as to how he had entered- but she was most certainly not going to be at a loss for words later on. Some people might, however, be at a loss for a job.
"Well, well, Mr. Hunter, and how did you get in?" she exclaimed, every syllable dripping syrup.

► Wes was please with himself and he couldn’t help but smirk at as the Minister asked him how he got in. “Well your minions out there are too focused on their their assignments that they didn’t see me coming. I am surprised you don’t have Aurors or Hit-Wizards stationed at your door and rotate like those guards at Buckingham Palace.” He had also spent a great deal of time hiking a hunting in Canada and the Northern Americas and in both cases it was best to be as quiet as can be so you won’t be noticed by your prey. Strolling in fully and rather arrogantly he took a seat from the other side of the desk from her propped his right boot on his left thigh. He took out a small parchment book and quill and and looked up expectantly. “How about some tea and some questions, Minister?
