It was early in the morning where the sun would shine on Taylor's freckled face. The redhead hummed and turned to look at the woman beside her, a smile on her face. Her green eyes took in Devon's features and with a smirk she kissed  her shoulder. It was strange that her best friend for as long as she could remember became much more and how good that felt.

"Mmm are you awake?" she asked with a humming tone in her voice as she looked at Devon. This friend took her in when she had no place to go, picked up the broken pieces when her fiancee died. Devon fixed her and made her feel worthy again to be alive.

"I can make eggs and bacon."

There were times in Devon Callaghan’s life when she just wanted to give up - forget about what she had been through in her life. She had lost so much, but also gained many more. A few years prior, she never thought she’d be waking up to the sound of Taylor’s voice. They had seen a lot, witnessed the other at their worst. But they had helped each other pick up the pieces and fixed the other. The moment Devon had spilled out her feelings to the redhead next to her, was the moment she knew she couldn’t mess up.

Devon had heard the voice of Taylor asking if she was awake, which made the Irish woman grunt in response and blocked her own face with her arm. Another early morning, another hangover. All she wanted to do was sleep in but she knew she had to open up shop in a few hours.

“Eggs and bacon?” she muttered, her eyes still closed as she rolled onto her back and groaned. “I’m awake now.” she tried to get out but her eyes were closed. She was still half-asleep, and there was a soft snore from the woman.

Taylor was amused by sleeping Devon and just closed her eyes as she moved her lips to kiss her girlfriend's neck. Dating Devon was the best choice Taylor made, something she would never regret.

Taylor hummed and chuckled a bit when Devon replied after the mention of eggs and bacon. "Mmm yep, lot's of it." she said with a grin. "I can make them naked if that helps?"

Devon groaned a bit as she rolled back onto her side when she felt her lips on her neck. For some reason she couldn't fight with her eyes to stay open, but a smile had appeared on her lips when she mentioned the extra thing and she shook her head. "Mmm. I wouldn't. Knowing Dec he's going to come here and don't want him to drop his boyfriend for you." she whispered softly as she opened her eyes. "Do we even have bacon? Thought I ate it all yesterday."

Devon blinked a few times and smiled a bit. "Smack me awake please." she mumbled and sat up to look at her. Her hair was up at all ends. "Mm. I feel hungover." she rubbed her head and groaned a bit as she stretched.

"Ow. Ow. Ow."

Taylor was joking of course, there was hardly time for her to walk around naked when she lived in a house with Declan and his man. Honestly she liked it here and she just wanted to spend more time with her girlfriend.

"Mmm I bought new bacon after work." she hummed and yawned. Taylor looked at Devon and ran a hand through her wild hair. "Mmm you'd think we had a very wild night last night." she said with a grin, kissing her cheek.

"Mmm."

Devon would complain about her age, but knew people would lecture her that she was not old at all. Yes, she had taken in her younger siblings, away from Belfast and the dangerous hands of their mother. Abigail Callaghan had not seen any of her children ever since the twins took them away from her. There was no way Devon would let that woman near and knew well that Abigail couldn’t find them. No one was in contact with the woman anymore. It was something Devon was thankful for.

A smile appeared on her lips as she looked at her and kissed her softly. ”Need a hand cooking?” she asked softly, not wanting to sit around and do nothing while her woman cooked another breakfast for the both of them. ”I don’t open til noon today so you’re stuck with me until then.”

The perks of dating a shop owner, she can make her own schedule.

Taylor had her arms wrapped around Devon's neck and just looked at her girlfriend. When her fiancee died Taylor felt like there was nothing to live for, she tried to make it end so many times but Devon was the one who didn't give up on her, saved her life when she didn't think she could be saved.

Taylor kissed her back with a grin. "Mmm yeah I could use a hand." she said with a smile and kissed her again before reaching for her shirt. "Maybe after breakfast I'll get you a snack." she winked and swayed her hips before walking out of the bedroom.

Devon watched as Taylor had walked out of the room, making her raise an eyebrow and shake her head. They had been through a lot, but they had each other to lean on. Even if she hated Sapphire Young’s guts, she didn’t deserve the end she got and had tried to save Taylor for a long while after that loss. A part of Devon wondered what would have happened to her if she didn’t save Taylor from herself. If she had just sat by, and didn’t do something about it. The confession still lingered in the Irish woman’s head day and night.

Devon bit down onto her lip, grabbing fresh new clothes and got dressed. She knew she needed to look somewhat decent rather than looking like she just had war with the bedroom sheets. A smile appeared on her lips as she followed her out of the bedroom, her eyes were on the red haired female. ”Tempting.” she said, a pleased smirk on her lips as she headed for the kitchen.

Taylor was so ready for marriage when Sapphire proposed. The woman was the love of her life for so long and when she lost her things didn't go well. Taylor tried to destroy her own life with every means she could find but in the end Devon saved her. Devon never gave up on her and it made their bond stronger than it was before. 

She remembered Sean offering her a job but the thought of being around the Young's.. it killed her inside. The redhead shook the thought off and turned to look at Devon. 

"Mmm you look really hot in that shirt.." she hummed and closed her eyes. Calm the fuck down Taylor.

Devon was tempted to just call in sick and spend the day with her girlfriend, but she also knew she needed to pay the bills somehow. There was a reason the Callaghan's wanted to live somewhere within the muggle London instead of choosing to live elsewhere. Her shop had served both kinds, and she wasn't going to give it up anytime soon. She enjoyed working, it gave her something to do other than thinking about the horrible past they all had suffered.

The Irish woman had raised an eyebrow at her girlfriend as she commented on her shirt and she looked down at it for a moment. A shirt that made her hot? Sure, Devon would take it. There was a teasing smirk on her face as she crossed her arms. "Breakfast, Lynch." she said and shook her head. "Or do you want me to do it and you can focus on something else?"
