It had been quite awhile now, and Xavier had been stuck in the streets. He no longer had much of anyone to take care of him. All he had was a crummy job at the Cauldron, where he also occasionally bought a night stay. It was enough to clean himself up, and look more presentable. "honestly..." Xavier mumbled to himself, but now things had moved forward.
School was starting again, and Xavier couldn't be happier. He would soon be done with school, and he could move on with his life. Maybe even further his degree. For now, he was stuck finishing up school. At least he had a bed, food, and a shower now. That was a plus in itself.
After he had arrived, he sat inside of the Great Hall. He was already eating before the rest, but it was mostly just a snack. He was basically starving. Since the last time they had seen him he had dropped a good fifteen pounds. A few of the Professors noticed, and had questioned him. All he could say was that he had changed his calorie intake. He was an adult now, and it was up to him to provide for himself completely.
Time had passed forward, and he was finding himself staring toward the entrance way. Timmy would be here soon, and Xavier was beyond ecstatic. He grabbed the available napkin to wipe his face, and shot out of his chair. He wanted to be one of the first to greet his brother. Even if he didn't get to really talk to him too much. "Timmy?" The words left his lips as he watched people begin to enter the school. This year, it was Timmy's first year, and other than the train ride they hadn't seen much of each other. Xavier had insisted on Timmy getting himself known and to make friends, although it cut into their brotherly time. This was finally their chance to reunite, and be brothers once again. tay @ adoxography

Wearing the uniform was still a little weird to Timmy. It was weird feeling the material around you flying at the slightest wind. It was weird having to tie a tie and it was even weirder still to have to carry his wand about him wherever he went. It wasn't like a pen after all, it was rather large and therefore wouldn't fit within your pocket. So naturally this ickle firstie's apperance wasn't as polished as it should be, even though he wasn't wearing the cloak but simply just the collared shirt, tie, and v-neck sweater; resembling more of a muggle highschooler than a wizard.
With his appearance a bit skew-whiff he entered the dining hall a grin threatening to make his face exploded as his eyes settled upon his brother whom was sat all alone at one of the tables. Being in different houses and years made interactions such as this more difficult than he would have hoped for, but all that left his mind as he made a b-line to go and sit with Xavier. After the summer they had and an uncertain future ahead it was safe to say that the boys were closer than many other siblings.
Once he sat beside his brother he immediately pulled him into a bear hug. He wasn't going to let go... not without a fight anyways...

He was so happy to be with his brother again. "Are you alright?" Was mainly the words that Xavier felt needed to be said first. He wanted to be certain Timmy had been alright. "With, home..." He knew what they had went through had been a drastic, and frightening change. They had barely managed to come out unscathed in the end. Especially X, after his near death with the coma, and if Winnie hadn't managed to heal him when she had, he'd be dead now, even if she hadn't healed him enough.
The doctors had stated that stopping some of the wounds from bleeding had been enough to keep him sustained until they had been able to do their work. Irregardless, the trauma to his head had knocked him cold, and his body nearly vegetative for quite some time.
Xavier was back now, and he felt good. There was still a scar along the back of his head, hidden now by hair, where he had received a major head wound. It hadn't busted open, but it had nearly done so. His blue eyes peered at his younger brother, and he smiled. "Are you ready to learn?" He was really excited to have his brother with him again, and to introduce Timmy to this world that Xavier loved so deeply. It was a place where he finally felt, at home... tay @ adoxography

He sat there, not reaching for any food as Xavier reminded him of just how close he was to being completely alone in this new world. He didn't know what he would be doing now if he didn't have his brother here for him. Yes, he had already made some friends within his year but if he had lost his brother as well as being responsible for killing his mother... would he have talked to them at all?
"Where are we going to go during summer? We have nowhere to stay... we can't exactly go back to Dad's you know? He'll finish what Mum tried to do!'
While his brother was in the hospital, he had had Winnie's family for support, but now that Winnie and Xavier had broken up he didn't know what was going to happen. Where would they go? Would the school allow them to stay there over summer rather than forcing them to live upon the streets? Did the Headmistress understand the situation that they were in?
He scoped some scrambled eggs upon his plate, but rather than eating them he simply pushed them around the plate, nerves about the future clearly taking a toll upon the first year. A small butterfly of relief did wash through the boy however as the conversation changed.
"Yeah, although I cant seem to get the hang of wearing a tie though... is magic as hard as tying a tie?"

A sadness took over Xavier as he listened to his brother's concerns. It was true, things were difficult now. More so now, than ever before. "Maybe..." Their father had mostly just been influenced by their mother, but the damage was already done. They were afraid of him too now. With him, and Winnie no longer together, they really had no where to go now. "I'll figure it out..."
If there was one thing Xavier tried to do, it was be the big brother that Timmy needed. He would situate a living place, and figure out somewhere for them to go. Perhaps he'd be able to talk Hogwarts into allowing him to stay there, and Timmy too. Both, or neither though was the case with those two.
"Yes..." He was bluntly honest. "The best part of magic though, is that it's a bit more expansive than tying a tie." He smiled, and slipped his wand from his robe. "For instance, you could change the color of your tie." He waved, and pointed it to his chest where his tie laid. "Colovaria, yellow." Then just like that, his tie changed to resemble the Hufflepuff house colors. He smiled at Timmy. "Colovaria." He said again to return it back to normal. tay @ adoxography

Hogwarts officially being his only home was definitely scary. It was a large place, and it was very much a very temporary solution. The school was bound to ship them back to London following the end of the school year, they wouldn't care that him and his brother had no roof top to call home anymore, and even if they did, they would only let them stay until they graduated. He was still new to this world, not at all accustomed to the way that it worked and not at all ready to live a life without his older brother. It was a worry that could be seen upon the boy's face. A worry that shook him to his entire core. If he lost his brother, he would lose everything. His brother had been there through everything for him. He had been his crutch, his support system, more like a father should have been to him than the one that he had been given eleven years ago. A small smile did break across his face however at his brother's display of magic. "Can you at least help me with this? The only ties I ever had were all clip-ons and Dad... well... Dad never really taught me..."He fiddled with the cutlery that sat beside him. His worries about what was ahead of him really hitting him. "X? What happens if I embarrass my house? What if I don't belong? I know the Sorting Hat read my head or something... but what if I don't really belong in Gryffindor?"
