Taking a Break [Ida]

Chris hammered away on the typewriter she'd kept all this time, fingers hammering the keys . Chris had wrote her first novel on this typewriter. She'd lost it in Germany during the war, but he'd gotten it back, through great difficulty. This typewriter had a lot of sentimental value to the vampire, and right now Chris was typing away in her own world. Her life with her wife and her daughter were her inspiration at this point in time. Previously she had written everything from romance to adventure. This particular tale was themed around a young vampiress' adventures. Her journey across the world and her relationships with all those she encountered. This was a story about Ida. The child that Chris had adopted. She had been sharing her progress with her daughter for a while now, but honestly today she was nearing the end of her creative wick.  It was getting toward time for a break. 

The older vampire wandered out of her study, eyes scanning around. "Ida?" She called out with a a small grin, wondering what the younger might be up to.

While Chris worked Ida was playing quietly in her bedroom with her dolls. She'd long since stopped wanting to go out if there was even a possibility of daylight. She was a clever little girl and knew it wasn't always safe outside for her, so she'd become quite use to playing inside with her dolls. She could always be found with at least one doll in her arms or set carefully beside her. She was so careful with them,especially since most of them were porcelain and a lot of them older than the humans she saw when she did go out.

At that moment, when Chris called to her, Ida was having a little tea party with some of her dolls. She set down her little china cup though when she heard her name and got up, moving to peak out of her bed room, her door always ajar. "Papa?" the small red haired girl replied.
