 For the hundredth time, the dark haired youth sighed as he ran his fingers through his hair. Really, he didn't know why he was so worked up over something so... trivial. Then again, it wasn't like he had been expecting for Jupiter to hook up with someone without at least him knowing about it. To be so blind sided like that? And after he had just started to feel a little something for the girl? Not that Jayson was going to admit that kind of thing aloud. He should have known better than to suspect that someone like Jupiter was even in his league... that he would be liked in such a way.
Still... rejection hurt.
Letting out yet another sigh, Jayson tilted his head back as he looked over the lake - watching the ripples form in the water and hearing the strange creatures chirping in the background. This wasn't his usual place to go to but everything else felt more foreign to him right now. There didn't seem to be a place he could go where he felt really comfortable let alone at peace.
Anyone who wasn't part of the graduating class was already getting ready to head home for the summer. They were saying their goodbyes and putting promises out there with their hopes. Jayson had really hoped to be one of those people this year. Everything seemed to be going really well this year. Well, up until his only friend decided to throw such a hard curveball at him.
No. There were no promises to be made from Jayson Reed. Hell, he didn't even know where his life was even going at this point.
