 The dark haired teacher placed each scroll on each table belonging to the students. His next class would be in any second now. They were now shifting into the weeks of preparation for their O.W.L. examinations and already he could feel a difference in the focus of the majority of his students. There were a few that seemed to not care as much about the subject that they were taking while there were a few that were rather fascinated with the ancient language. It was always intriguing to Victor to watch the minds of the students develop over the weeks of his course.
Hearing the familiar sound of footsteps, Victor stepped away from the desks to raise his head and see a few of his students start to pour into the room. Reaching into his robes, he withdrew his wand and gave it a simple flick with his wrist. The candles in the room started to dim as he waved his hand elegantly through the air to create a glowing ray of lines - runes, to be exact - that floated across the air towards the front of the classroom.
Once the runes were in place, he waved the wand once more to transfer the reference text books to each of the desks. Though many would assume that this was on purpose, Victor had quite honestly forgotten to place them back out on the desks after the last class. Given the lack of focus from the students, he had placed the books away and given a short test to see just how well they were doing. Of course, the lack of focus only proved to be all the more evident with the results from the test.
He was hopeful that this class would show more promise in this lesson.
