road to Hogwarts [Tierney]

Eleanor boarded the Hogwarts express after hugging her mother. Her father was already at Hogwarts since he was the Herbology professor and had to prepare things for the new term. It was kind of weird having her own father being one of her teachers but she was excited to return for her Fifth year. She was also looking forward to seeing her Slytherin friend Tierney again. Normally she would be wary about befriending Slytherins because of the kind of Slytherins her father had dealt with when he was a student.

Eleanor was always willing to give a person the benefit of the doubt unless they gave her a reason not to trust them. She never really had much of a chance to speak with Tierney because they are both in different houses but she was excited to try and learn more about him. Finally Eleanor found an empty compartment. She put her stuff into the overhead compartment and went to find her brother Frank. It took her awhile to find him but after chatting with her brother for a few minutes Eleanor returned to her compartment for the rest of the journey after she went somewhere to privately change into her Gryffindor robes. She sighed, sitting down and leaning back in the seat.

School was starting for another year, marking his fourth year at the wizarding establishment. He was already dressed in his Slytherin uniform when he had managed to find his friend Eleanor, but it wasn't from a lack of trying to find her sooner.

"Well well well, if it isn't Ms. Longbottom!"

He gave her a cheeky smile. He didn't act this way with just anyone after all, he was a reserved young man who struggled to step out of his comfort zone. He let himself into Eleanor's compartment and sat down across from her while he ran a hand through his short dark hair.

"What did you get up to this summer?"
