It was the one potion that he knew like the back of his hand and it was the one potion that he brewed more than any other. He brewed it not only because it was a job requirement, and these days this particular potion was probably the most important potion, but also because he was studying it to see if could be improved upon so that the results were more permanent.
He wasn’t doing this for fame or glory, though it would be a bonus that was for sure and might just earn him an Order of Merlin, he was doing it for the most important reason of all. His daughter. She didn’t deserve to be inflicted by this horrible curse and it was his job not only as her father but as a Healer to find a way to free her from it, and he supposed everyone else who suffered from lycanopothy, well those that didn’t want to be werewolves anyway.
Blaise, of course, had a private stash of Wolfsbane for Gen’s use but of course there was St Mungo’s store of the potion and that was where the problem was. There was less of the potion than what there should be and Blaise kept immaculate records of what was taken out of the stores cupboard and he was sure that there was a lot more of the potion and that ingredients used to make the potion available than what they had.
There was a potion thief at St Mungo’s and a secret werewolf. Blaise smiled, and he was going to find them….
