There was something about the open air that drew him into his embrace. Perhaps the association was with the cold that the winter wind. A cold wind meant that one would require a warm drink to aid in attempts at warming up. A drink that could involve both cardamon and cinamon which happened to be two of his most favourite scents.
It wasn't the cold that had drawn young Mitchell to the top of the rooftop, but its peaceful rooftop atmosphere which had always had a tendency to help him relax in the most stressful of situations. He sat his bag down to the right of the stair well and made his way close to the edge. This had been where Professor Dumbledore had been killed about twenty-one years ago. A dark place that also illuminated in the night.
He turned sharply however at the sound of footprints, pulling his wand out and illuminating the tip of it.
"Lumos!"
He cast the light in the direction of the person whom was making the noise, hoping to be able to see who it was that was joining him.
